Lies - 01/11/16

You're never gonna love me, so what's the use? // You said you never lie, but you said you didn't care that she liked someone else. I saw the way you looked at her, and how it reflected in the way I looked at you.

What's the point in playing a game you're gonna lose? // You said you never lie, but you told me you'd never use me to get to her. You asked me to befriend her, to fill in the missing holes in the character you'd created in your head. The character I'd even helped create.

What's the point in saying you love me like a friend? // You said you never lie, but you told me we were soulmates when we were a few years younger. Not enough to blame it on young age, but not old enough to take it seriously. Apparently.

What's the point in saying it's never gonna end? // You said you never lie, but you promised me you wouldn't forget about me when we found out we didn't have any classes together. The last time you willingly contacted me in any way was three months or so ago.

I'm not the type that you like. Why don't we just pretend? // You said you never lie, but you said you'd be there for me, when I ended up getting drunk and hung all over you like a wet towel. So where were you? Why weren't you answering my messages? Because of her. Her and you and your fight and abandonment.

I just want it to be perfect, to believe it's something worth the fight. // You said you never lie, but you told me you were fine. Are you fine now, with your bleeding wrists all bandaged up, in your room so blindingly white it's almost as if they think the color will heal you?

Lies. // You said you never lie, but you lied.

And now I wish I hadn't lied- lied by telling you I don't need you anyway.

Hello, this was inspired by Clem saying he never lies but the rest is literally all gibberish that I made up.
