As soon as she entered the dim gorse shelter, she glanced around, unsure of what to do. Then, Snowfoot came in and explained things to Dawntail. Silverkit waited patiently, trying to see their reactions. Dawntail looked at her kindly, and welcomed her into the nursery. "You must be our new arrival. I heard Oakstar's announcement. I figured you'd come by."
"This is Stormkit," she said, motioning towards the handsome gray tom. "And this is Scarkit." Silverkit had to try not to stare, but Scarkit, who probably would've otherwise been a handsome tom too, had a big red scar across his face like he had been scraped by an eagle.
Scarkit must've noticed though, because he glared at Silverkit and snarled; "Hawk. Don't ask." Stormkit, on the other hand, was much friendlier.
"Hi Silverkit!" He said loudly. "Nice to have another playmate."
"Thank you." Silverkit mewed softly. This family definitely wasn't hers, and it may take some getting used to.
"I'll be over in the warriors den if you need me." Snowfoot reassured Silverkit, who nodded in return. Once Snowfoot had turned and exited the nursery, Silverkit murmured;
"What's the warriors den?" Snowfoot, already gone, didn't hear her, but Stormkit did.
"I'll show you around. We're old enough to leave the nursery now, and I know where all the dens are!" Stormkit proudly puffed out his chest.
