Aphmau's POV

Here I was; Phoenix University. My dream school.

My heart was slamming against my chest. People passed by me, hauling their luggage to their rooms. I was super nervous. I checked my phone for the time; it was 4:27.

"You okay, honey?" My mum asked, smiling. "You're finally here!"

"You've made it, sis." My brother, Malachi laughed. I grabbed him and hugged him, ruffling his hair.

"I'm fine. Just nervous." I smiled, watching my other brother, Levin, take my stuff out of the trunk of our car. I let go of Malachi and began heaving suitcases out of the car.

We finished after a few minutes and heaved them onto the sidewalk, setting them down. Levin tapped me on the shoulder and I turned around.

"Uh.." He rubbed the back of his neck. "Will you come to visit us? I'm really going to miss you."

"Aw, Levin!" I said, hugging him. "Of course, bro! I wouldn't ever not visit!"

He hugged back, softly laughing. "Just making sure."

"I'll be there for your 13th birthday." I smiled."Don't you worry."

"Do you want to see your room and stuff now?" My mum asked, smiling. I nodded and let go of Levin, grabbing onto a few bags and my big suitcase.

We walked inside the front doors, getting in a somewhat short line. I smiled and turned around, looking around at all the people.

A boy around my age made eye contact with me. He was handsome with light brown hair and baby blue eyes. He smirked at me, winking, and flashing the 'call-me' signal at me.

I laughed and rolled my eyes, smiling at him. He seemed nice, unlike other people who made it in.

"And you are?" A voice asked. I flinched, seeing a lady at a table staring back at me. I quickly stepped up, smiling slightly.

"Aphmau Jessica Lorde." I said, anxiety building up in my chest. Who was my roommate? Where was my dorm? Was it by Katelyn's?
"Mm, let me see." She said, pushing up her glasses. "Welcome to Phoenix University."

"Thank you, Miss."

"Mm." She paused, scanning the list. "Your dorm is room ninety-eight, to the right."

"Thank you." I smiled. She handed me a paper with my class schedules. I took them and picked my suitcase, seeing Levin and Malachi pick up the rest of my bags. I was so thankful for them. They were such great brothers.

We walked to the right, and the boy smiled to me again. I smiled back and walked away, to room ninety-eight.

I slowly opened the door, darkness filling my eyes. I reached out for a light switch, flipping it on.

The room had two beds in it, decent sized ones, separated by a small bedside table with a nice lamp on it. Two dressers and closets laid on either side of the room, and a table with a small flatscreen TV laid on it.

I opened my mouth a little as I walked in further to the bathroom. It was huge, no kidding.

Two big closet like things were on either side of two sinks and a mirror. A nice shower was in the back on the bathroom, with a bath and a toilet.

"Wow." Malachi laughed out. "This is really nice."

"You can come here in.. how many years?" I smirked, raising an eyebrow.

"Mal, you're 16. You're so old!" Levin said in a 'feminine' voice, playfully shoving him with his shoulder. I laughed, watching Malachi roll his eyes.

"Yup. In 2 years." Malachi winked.

"My little girl and boys are growing up!" My mum exclaimed, sniffing. "Stop growing up!"

A loud voice on the intercom silenced us. "All students have been registered. Friends and family members must leave by 5:30."

I checked my phone. It was 5:23.

"Aph.." Mal sighed, his face getting sad. Levin frowned, looking at the ground.

"Hey, come on, guys." I said, tears brimming my eyes as I brought them both into a hug. "Please don't be sad? Be happy or some shit like that."

"Language, Aphmau Jessica!" My mum said. "Levin is only 12!"

"It's not like I haven't heard it before." Levin snorted, making me shake with laugher. My mum scoffed, chuckling. It went silent for a few seconds.

"Guys.." I sighed, hugging them tighter. "I'm really going to miss you.. Text me every night."

"Will do." Malachi said, tightening his grip around me. "I'm really going to miss you too."

"Who's going to drive me to McDonalds?" Levin groaned. "Mum won't take me because she thinks it makes me 'fat'."

"It does make you fat!" My mum exclaimed. "You shouldn't eat it every weekend!"

"Whatever." He smiled, burying his head into my shoulder. "Aph-moo, can I just stay here with you?"

"As much as I'd want you to," I laughed. "No. Sorry, Levin."

"Boys, it's my turn." My mum pouted. "You're hogging Aph."

"Fine.." They grumbled, letting go. My mum squeezed passed them, smiling and wrapping her arms around me.

"Oh, Aphmau!" She said, dramatically. "You've grown so much."

"Mum!" I laughed, hugging her back.

"I'm just so proud of you, and so would dad." She sniffed. "You've come so far, baby girl. I'm beyond proud."

Tears brimmed my eyes as she pulled back, tears falling down her face.

"Thanks, mum. I'm going to miss you guys so much. I'll see you on Levin's 13th."

"Aph, that's too far away!" Levin exclaimed.

"Lev, it's only a week." Malachi swallowed. "It's gonna be okay."

I engulfed them all in one big hug, squeezing them tightly.

"I love you guys." I smiled.

"I love you too!" Levin shouted.

"I love you too." Malachi and my mum said at the same time.

"All friends and family members must leave at this time. Students, please report to the café area for tours, club information, and other activities."

"That's our cue." Malachi swallowed, looking at me. I grabbed his hand, and grabbed Levin's, walking out of my dorm.

We got to the main doors, which were on the way to the café area. I turned to them, hugging them individually again.

"I'm gonna miss you guys so much." I said, smiling. "I love you guys."

"Bye, Aph." Levin and Malachi said, frowning and letting go of my hands. My mom kissed my forehead, smiling sadly.

"Goodbye, baby girl."

I sadly watched them walk out until they got lost with all the other people exiting. I watched until I couldn't see from the tears filling my eyes.

I spun around and began to walk, but bumped into someone's strong chest. I fell backwards but was caught with two arms, and looked up to see a memorizing, familiar pair of ice blue eyes.

"My bad, love."
