Aphmau's POV
"Shit." He mumbled. "Are you okay?"
I nodded and slowly got up, not making eye contact with Zoey.
He got up and turned to her. I couldn't tell if she was mad at me or what. She stared blankly at him.
"What?" He asked. "Nothing happened; she fell. It's okay. You shouldn't be rude and at least ask if we're okay."
"It didn't look like that when I came in." She smirked, removing her hand from her mouth. "But.. Sure, I believe you. Are you okay?"
"I'm good." I rubbed my arm. "Just clumsy."
Garroth chuckled and glanced to me. His blue eyes met mine, warmly looking at me. I could just get lost in them and never come back if I wanted to.
"What did you want to talk about?" He suddenly asked, breaking the eye contact and turning back to his sister.
"Come out in the hall." She stepped out the door. "It's..urgent?"
He raised an eyebrow. "Okay. I'll be back in a second."
I nodded and sat back down on my bed, pushing my hair out of my face. That was so awkward.
Nothing happened. I fell. That's it.
That's it.
Garroth's POV
I think she was the cutest thing I've ever seen.
Zoey dragged me out into the hallway and shut the door. I rubbed the back of my neck and turned to her.
"What the hell was that?" She asked. "You don't like her, do you? Garroth, come on."
"It's not like that." I sighed. "Zoey, I'm not just playing her. I-I for sure don't like her."
"Just playing her?" She ignored the last part. "You said you were over that."
"You said I was over that." I groaned. "I didn't say anything."
"You really just want to spend college like you did in high school?" She narrowed her eyes. "Wow. I thought you were better than that."
"I-I haven't met a girl I like yet." I lied. "So there's no reason to stop."
"Grades!" She yelled. "And you came to this school to be better, Garroth. You know you did."
I swallowed. "It doesn't matter. I'm going to get food now."
"Where?" She sighed after a moment of silence. "I'm actually really hungry too.""Pizza." I said. "That's what Aphmau wants."
"Okay." She nodded. I walked back inside and saw Aphmau on her phone. She looked up and smiled.
"Ready to go?" I asked, swinging my keys around my finger. "Zoey's going to tag along."
"Sure." She smiled, getting up.
"Wait. What about me and Aphmau stay here? I'd like to get to know her." Zoey quickly spoke before she could get her shoes on.
"If that's okay with Aphmau." I looked at Aphmau, my eyes locking in with hers. Her copper eyes seemed to memorize me.
