Aphmau's POV

I stared out the window until I felt the car stop beneath me. Garroth told me to shut my eyes really fast.

I did, smiling. I felt him shut the door and open mine, pulling me out of the car and into his arms.

"Just follow me." He said. "I want to show you something."

"Okay." I replied, hugging onto him as we walked. I made sure to keep my eyes shut; I loved surprises.

"It's something I grew up knowing," he wrapped his arm around me, steadying me before I stumbled. "My mother always liked it."

"I'm sure I'll love it then." I smiled, my eyes still shut. "How far are we from it?"

"Not very." He said. "Just a minute or so away."

I nodded, breathing in. The air smelt fresh, and I could hear sticks snapping under our feet.

"Okay, we're here." We stopped. "Ready?"

"Yup." I smiled.

"One, two, three." He backed up, and I opened my eyes.

My smile got even wider as I saw what was in front of me. There was a white Gazebo with blue fairy lights decorated all around it. The ocean could be seen for miles.

In the middle of it laid blankets, pillows and a bouquet of flowers.

"I may have had a little help from my mum," he laughed nervously.

"Oh my god," I whispered. "This is beautiful!"

"Do you like it?" He asked. I turned, running to him and wrapping my arms around his neck.

"I love it!" I smiled. He laughed, hugging back. "It's amazing!"

"I'm glad," he smiled back. I looked up at him, and he paused for a minute before pressing his lips to mine.

Butterflies exploded in my stomach once again, and I kissed back. His hand moved to my back, pushing me closer to him lightly.

My phone went off, ringing. We pulled apart, both bright red.

"Sorry, I'll be right back." I said. He nodded, letting me go. I pulled my phone out, seeing Katelyn's name, and hit answer.

   "You're so stupid."

   "What?" I asked.

"I know what that dick did to you." She said angrily. "Why the hell didn't you tell me he hit  you?!"

"...Who--"

  "Laurance." My heart sunk.

   "What? Why--"

"That doesn't fucking matter!" She yelled. I sighed, moving farther away from Garroth so he wouldn't hear.

"Listen." I retorted. "You don't know the story. If he really meant it, why the fuck do you think I'd being going out with him?"

  She was silent.

"I will talk to you when I get back." I said sharply. "Don't call me about that again."
