    Aphmau's POV

   It's been one week.

  I can't get over this.

  He's still sitting there, lifeless in a hospital bed. This feels like..

  Hell.

   I sat on my bed. Classes have been delayed a week for a supposed hurricane incoming in a couple of days.

  And I'm alone in my room grieving over Laurance.

   I pressed Garroth's contact on my phone, hitting the call button. He answered almost instantly.

  "Hi, babe." His familiar voice spoke. "How are you?"

  "I'm surviving, even though it doesn't feel like it." I sighed. "How are you?"

   "...Shitty." He answered. "And I miss you. So damn much."

  "I know," I frowned. "I miss you, too."

   "Y-you know," he stammered. "We didn't really get a chance to talk about the whole.. uh, thing I said.."

   "Yeah." I replied, knowing exactly what he meant. "W-we didn't."

   "Do you want to?" He asked. "We could just get a hotel or something."

  "Yeah." I nodded. "I really do."

   "Alright.. I'll be there in less than 30 minutes." He said. "I miss you, baby."

   "I miss you too." I smiled. "I'll see you then."

  "Alright. Bye, love."

   "Bye."

   I hung up the phone, opening the door and heading downstairs.

   "Mum?" I called out.

   "Yes, Mija?" She answered. "In the kitchen."

   I walked around the corner. "Garroth and I are going to go out. We might not be back until late tonight or tomorrow, okay?"

   "You gonna.. do anything?" She raised an eyebrow.

   "Mum." I looked at her, crossing my arms.

   "What? What?" She shrugged her shoulders, her eyes going wide. "Just asking."

   I smirked. "You know what? You never know."

  She gasped, frowning. "I was only kidding, Aphmau Jessica! And yes, you can go. Be back by at least noon tomorrow. We have to board up and everything for the hurricane."

   "Yeah." I nodded. "Thanks mum."

   "No problem, Mija." She smiled, turning back to her book and cup of coffee.
