   Aphmau's POV

I ran my hand through my hair as we placed our things down on the sand. My sunglasses rested on my head, and I sat down on my towel.

Katelyn sat next to me, smiling. She seemed to be staring at something.

   "What?" I asked.

"Are you seriously going to ask me 'what?'" Her eyes went wide. "It's the ocean, Aphmau! We have to go swimming."

   "Katelyn--"

"Nope!" She smiled. "We're going now!"

She got up and took off her flip flops, shorts and sweatshirt, leaving her in her bikini. She extended her hand to me, smiling again.

I sighed and took her hand, pulling myself up. I bit my lip and pulled my shorts off, not taking off my shirt yet.

"Aphmau." Katelyn said. "I never thought I'd be the one to say this, but take off your shirt now."

I rolled my eyes. "Eww. You're gross."

"Don't make me take it off for you!" She huffed.

"Okay, okay, jeez!" I said. I grabbed the hem of my shirt and pulled it up and over my head. I felt so bare.

"Oh my gosh," Katelyn whispered. "Hottie Ro'maeve is totally checking you out over there!"

I shifted my eyes to see Garroth staring at me, his eyes trailing from my legs to my chest. I felt his eyes burning holes into the back of my head as I looked back to Katelyn, my face burning.

"Okay, never mind," I quickly said. "Let's go to the water. Now."

She grinned, grabbing my hand. She began running to the waterfront. She put her feet in and walked all the way to her knees deep, motioning for me to come in.

As soon as my feet hit the water, I screamed. It was super cold, and I jumped back, my sunglasses falling off my head onto my nose.

Katelyn snorted and began laughing, her fingertips brushing the water. I crinkled my nose and rolled my eyes.

"I take it the waters bad?" Garroth asked, appearing next to me. I sighed and shook my head, trying to hide my blush from earlier.

   "It's freezing."

   "Really?" He smirked.

"I don't like that look." I lifted my head to meet his eyes. "What are you thinking?"

"Mm, nothing." He stepped back behind me a little. "Only this."

He suddenly grabbed my waist and picked me up, wrapping his arms around my waist. I screamed and kicked the air. He began walking in.

"Stop it!" I screamed out. "It's gonna be cold!"

"Relax," he laughed. "I'm gonna throw you in!"

"No!" I yelled. My eyes looked down to his arms around my waist, and it was  cute yet comforting.

"Ready?" He asked. I shook my head, holding onto his arms for dear life.

   "Please don't!" I cried. "Garroth!"

My feet hit the water. It was so cold.

Katelyn looked at me, smirking. I smiled back at her but my stomach dropped when I was suddenly being dropped in the freezing water.

It went up to my neck, and I heard laughing behind me. I turned around and squealed, jumping up and down.

"You're going to pay." I screamed. The water made my feet numb. "It's freezing!"

"It's not that bad," he smiled. I took my hands and splashed water on him, making him cringe. It only went up to his shoulders. "Now, it's on."

He splashed me back, laughing. I ran over to Katelyn and Laurance and wrapped my arms around her neck, pulling myself up from the freezing water.

"Get off me! You weigh like 1,000 pounds!" She flailed her arms around. "Aphmau! You're gonna kill me!"

"No I'm not," I pouted. "He's trying to splash me."

"What?" Laurance asked, looking up at me. "Like..."

"Don't you dare!" Katelyn slapped his arm, but he didn't lose his smirk.

"Like this?" He asked quickly, splashing us with water. I covered my face with Katelyn's hair, laughing as she stumbled back.

"You're so done!" She yelled. I hopped off her neck and I could touch the water. It only went up to my chest.

She ran over and tackled Laurance, pushing him under water. Katelyn snorted and pushed him even further down, then pulled him back up.

"God!" He blinked the water from his eyes. "Who'd ever think a girl was that strong?"

"Serves you right." She smirked. I could see something in her eyes; something I couldn't figure out.

"I like it." He smirked back. "It makes you even hotter."

"Oh, shut up!" A familiar voice yelled. Dante jumped on Laurance, pushing him down. Laurance groaned and struggled to get Dante off.

"So the waters not so bad now?" Garroth asked. I flinched, turning around.

"You scared me." I laughed. "But yeah, it's fine."

"You're welcome." He smiled. I smiled back and looked back when I heard splashing.

Nicole ran and dove in, ignoring the coldness. Cadenza was right behind her, but not getting her hair wet.

"I'm gonna go say hi," I turned back to Garroth. He nodded and smiled, turning to Laurance.

I ran to the girls in the water, saying hi quickly before I jumped out of the water and ran to where Zoey, Lucinda and Donna were.

"Hi, girls!" I smiled, crossing my arms over my chest. My sunglasses were still luckily on my head, but from half my hair down to my feet was soaking wet.

"Hi, Aphmau!" Zoey smiled. Donna smiled and waved with her free hand, the other holding a blonde boy's hand. Lucinda was sitting down, reading a book. She looked up and smiled.

I sat down on my towel and grabbed my phone, clicking the contact 'mom'. I clicked the 'call' button and put the phone to my ear.

Garroth ran out of the water and passed by me, winking at me as he did. He ran to what looked like the bathrooms, but my mom's voice snapped me out of my trance.

"Hey sweetie!"

"Hi, mom!"

"How's everything been?"

"Great, actually." I smiled. "I'm just at the beach with some friends."

"That's good." She said. "Is there anything wrong?"

"No, but I was just calling to say hi." I smiled again. "But I looks like I have to go now, Katelyn is calling me."

"Okay, be safe sweetie. I love you."

"I love you too, mom. I'll talk to you later."

"Bye!"

I hung up my phone and stood up, turning on my heel and walking to the bathrooms. I actually had to go now, seeing Garroth point them out.

I walked to the women's side, but bumped into someone and fell over. They grabbed my hand and pulled me back up.

I looked up to see none other than those ice blue eyes.

"Uh... Hi?"
