Chp 3

Ember's pov:

I woke up suddenly as I held by my chest and tried to calm myself as my heart kept pounding. I wondered what happened last night. I think I had a nightmare. Why am I so tensed anyway? And last night in my sleep I heard a thud as if someone fell.What was that? I just hope no one entered our room last night. I tried to reach the alarm clock which was on the night stand beside my bed. Rubbing my eyes I look at it. Oh my God!!!! It was already 8'oclock in the morning and I need to hurry.

As I get up from my bed, my cellphone vibrated. I looked to see who it was. Oh dang! It's mum. 10 missed calls?? she must be worried.
After last night's party I forgot to call her up. Oh no!!!!! Alex... that boy always succeeds to get on my nerves, I just hope not to see his face today, Pffftt!!

Anyways now its too late to call mom, class will start in an hour and I must hurry up.
I look at Lauren's bed to wake her up but she isn't there.. Where did this girl go? She is great at leaving me alone. If she got up early then why didn't she wake me up? I quickly slip into my pantofle and when I walked towards Lauren's bed I see her lying on the floor.
Oh my how did she get here? Now I get it!! last night she must have fallen in her sleep and that's why I heard a thud sound. I giggle to myself. This girl and her beauty sleep. Haha....
Lauren started to speak in her sleep "Alex don't go away, don't leave me, Alex please" Alex....god that boy is ruining her life in her dreams and mine in reality.
"Alex is not here Lauren wake up we need to go, it's the first day and I don't want us to be late". Lauren wakes up from her sleep. "Is it morning already?" she asks in a sleepy voice."Morning?? Oh no lauren it is midnight thought we will get some ice-cream so I woke you up. Idiot, It is 8'oclock" I literally yell at Lauren. When I said that Lauren jumped out of her bed in a rush"What? why didn't you wake me up? What happened to me? Why am I on the floor Ember?"she says. "you talk too much while sleeping, its the funniest hahah.. Alex don't leave me, come here" I mimick her. We both laugh and I head towards the bathroom to have a shower. Both of us get ready for our first day.

We get dressed up. I wear a thin strapped floral crop top with a sweet heart neckline and a black lace short skirt.
Lauren wears a rose red skirt and a black and white stripped top with a clutch jacket. I put on minimal makeup and lauren decides to show off her flawless skin. As we get done, together we head towards the cafeteria to have our breakfast. Food time!!!

*Meanwhile at the Staff room*

Professor Polyxena pov:

Today is my first day at the university, heard alot of good stuff about this university. On my part, I should bring a good impression to the staff and especially my dean. He had so much trust in me when he gave me this job. Keeping all this in mind I walked to the staff room with my head held high with confidence.
As I entered I see this big conference table which was in the middle of the staff room. All the professors were seated. They all welcomed me with a smile. I feel the happy warmth already. I sit on the right side of the table and place my things down.
"You must be Professor Polyxena, Am I right?" the professor sitting next to me asks. He was dressed decently with his hair neatly parted to one side and he had round glasses, sitting all upright looking at me with a smile, "yes I am sir" I say with much confidence. "Nice to meet you Mr. Polyxena. I am Griffin, professor at the Arts Department " he says. He continues "You and Professor Walter are the new teachers for the Medical Department, congratulations" Before I utter a word another Professor intrudes our talk "Hey Griffin, O'Leery is on her way to the staff room" with great enthusiasm he says and Professor Griffins face lights up like a 100 watt glowlight.
"Uhh.. Professor who is O'Leery ?" I ask while he was doing his hair making it straight. He looked at me and said "she's the Diva" What is he saying? I look at him puzzled. "I mean she is an Arts professor, one of the most beautiful people I have ever seen" he said "When I entered this university she stole my heart. She has a lot of fan following in staff and the university" he said
