Chp 38 - Overburden

Embers pov :

"Ember actually it's about Alice" he says sadly....?

"What about her?" I ask curious. Something in me is telling me its bad.

"She is.....she is still on drugs" he says sadly.

"How do you know?" I ask out of curiosity. 

"The two guys who came earlier come everyday so today I decided to check on them and I found a prescription when I went to ask them about it saying "marijuana" on it"

WHAT?!?

WHY?! IS SHE STILL ADDICTED? Then why didn't she seek help from me?

"If only I knew about this problem of hers I would have helped her" he says rather quietly. 

"Me too" I say sadly looking at the floor.

"Hey are you alex?" The guard from before barges into the room.

"Yes" he says still sadness clear in his voice. It affects Alex more than it actually affects me. He still cares even when he says he doesn't.

"You are to meet prof. Walter NOW!!" He yells.

Alexs pov :

Great! Now he's going to yell at me.

"So what's the reason behind your actions lately?" Prof. Asks in a calm tone. Wah! Im surprised!

"I..." words don't seem to come out. What should I tell? What will I tell anyway?

God why does it has to be Alice? Even though its not me who caused her addictions I still feel responsible for Alice.

Alice. The girl I loved the most. Now is in a serious condition and not even I can help her. But I should in any possible way.

"Come in ember" I realize ember enters the room. Why is she here? That devil needs to stay away from my matters.

So what if she is her sister? I don't care! If the one who is going to protect Alice then it is going to be ME....and only ME! Self conceited I am!

"Ember and Alex. From the past few weeks I've heard complains that you two fight a lot so......in order for you to stop that" he pauses and stands up. I'm afraid he's going to throw an atomic bomb right now "you two will be living  in the same dorm until you two get along or until I feel like you should" there...that's the bomb I was talking about.

WTF!!! HELL NO!!!

"NO WAY" me and Ember say in unison.

"Sir todays fight was not caused by me. I just helped this jer- umm....alex,
sir" ember pacifys. Yeah right why that devil.

"Exclude todays and lets talk about the past month Ember. Your behaviour seems out of control" his voice rages a little bit.

Already I feel burdened after hearing about Alice and now this! I swear nothings going right. Argh! I want to pull all the strands of my hair until all fall off!!

"Its final you move today to room. 404" he says tossing the keys to us.

Words don't seem to come out as I still think of Alice.

"You dummy! Why didn't you say something? You want to live with me that bad?" Ember yells after prof. goes out.

Damn! My mouth is dried up!

"In your dreams Ember" I say walking out. All I can think of is about Alice.

"Hey you I'm talking to you dummy!" Ember follows. Doesn't she have other works to do? Like going on dates with lover-boy a.k.a Wayne and cuddling and sh*t!

"Look Ember why don't you go and have cuddle sessions with lover-boy a.k.a Wayne and how about let me save someone in need?"

"To heck with you Alex. Number one Wayne is not my lover boy. He's a really sweet person unlike you. *rolls eyes* And two you are the reason behind Alice being that way and three I don't want to stay with YOU at all!!" She keeps whinning.  Argh how annoying!

"Okay shut up will you?" I say "just stay out of Alices matters and let me handle"

"No way you jerk" yells. How dare she calls me jerk!

"You little-" I was cut off.

"Ahem ahem!" Someone clears their throat.

Prof. Walter??!
I swear he secretly stalks everyone.

"I want you to get to your classes NOW!!!"he yells and I quickly walk to my next class.

Ah! How annoying!

Today is going to be hell on earth.

Sh*t! Alex what have you gotten yourself into.
