Chp 20 - Haunted (part 1)

Embers's pov :

I fell asleep and classes were ceased because of us. The entire day makes me every regret decision I made to follow alex. It got me more confused than ever before. What am I? A potato?

I stretch my self and enter the bathroom only to find that I stink very bad. I fill the tub with warm water and put in my favorite bubble bath. I pull my stuff from my wardrobe and with my loofah I sit in the tub to relax.

It's been hard. Harder than before. No time to breathe. No time to think. I wonder what Lauren is upto!

After a good 20 minutes I get off the tub and wash myself. I exit the bathroom in my bathrobe and crash on my bed. I stare at the ceiling my favorite pastime ever since I got here.

That picture. Prof. Walter. Unknown27. Alex. Brian. All this doesn't make any sense. All of them are somehow linked and I need to find out before I'm thrown into a heavy confusion. I quickly pace to my wardrobe and pull out my tank top some leggings and shoes. I'm in no mood to apply makeup so I just put on some mascara and winged liner with nude lipstick. That's all and swing my bag on my shoulders heading to the cafeteria.

*Cafeteria *

I look out for Wayne but I don't see him. Fruits and some toast is all I get before I sit down along with the group. I examine Brian up and down. Left and right. Every inch like I'm a ninja.
Mia looks at me like I'm retarded "Ember if you are so interested in Brian you need to get your self a guy. He's taken already" she clings to him.what? I wasn't even doing anything? Huh! Somebody slap me in my face because I look at people's "properties" Sick of me for real.

I keep looking around and Alex gets to the table. He says hi to Every one "excluding" me. This is common for him to not say hi to me. I don't care anyway. I have my shit to care.
I ask Alex "uh Alex do you know where Wayne is?"

"I'm not his babysitter but since you're asking me. He said he doesn't feel good so he wanted to visit his family"

Oh okay!

Now I have no one. Lauren no. Wayne no. What a life? I better go to sleep my life sucks at present.
I pick up my plate and put it in the trash. I walk to my first class and the bell rings Indicating prof. Walter will be here anytime. He comes in and starts his lecture the usual way and the rest of the day goes on like it usually does except for Alex who doesn't even bother me.

**evening**

I enter my dorm and crash on my bed. I'm so tired and my head feels heavy. I tried my best to get rid of all the thoughts. Yet again it just won't leave me.

I haven't told Lauren anything about yesterday. She will freak out. I Snapchat my tired self and post it when I see someone has added me. Wayne. I open his story and look at it. Awww ♡♡♡♡ he is so cute in his giant sweater and oh he has a little brother. So adorable!!
I Snapchat him and he does the same. Oh he's having a family time I see.

I shut off my phone after an hour and head to the bathroom to help myself. That means another shower haha. Queen of taking baths is....ME!!

Shucks!! I forgot my innerwear. Hah who cares I'm the only one so gotta get it. I tiptoe into the room and scream loudly when I see Alex in my room.

"WHAT THE HECK ALEX!! its not your room"

"Fine I'm sorry just get dressed we need to go" his tone seems to be rushed and worried.
I hide behind the bathroom door.

"But where?"

"Just get dressed and stop asking me questions" he looks around

"No... if you're planning to kidnap me I don't wanna get kidnapped"

"Oh lord! I'm not kidnapping you. If I were to do it I would not ask you idiot"

He's got a point. I'm being a baby.

I tell him to wait outside while I get dressed and lock the door.

"Where are we going? "

"Just get in the car. You will know once we get there"

I get into the car which seems like his own. Oooooo boy!!! He has a lamborgini. For the love of cars I will marry you alex! Wait what did I say?!?!? My stupid brain.

The whole ride to whatever that place is we sit quietly either of us uttering a word while Alex drives.

We stop at this haunted looking town. Seriously what the actual eff! It is effing scary! He stops the car and the next I know is I start to ask him questions "Where did you bring me alex? Why are we here? Wha-" he put is finger on my lips hushing me; his finger cold against the skin on my lips.

"Just be quiet until I tell you to open your mouth. The less you know the better"

We leave the car and enter the hunted looking place. Whatever this place is it is haunted and spooky af. I am going to faint. We keep walking till we reach a horror looking house and when the door opens a 'devil lady' what I call for now stands in front of us looking scary as high. Alex tells her something like "tellotown visitor number 27"
She lets us in smiling at us more like creepy smiling at us and handing a key. The house is full of spider webs and very dark. I wonder why we are here.
I whisper to Alex "what is this? It is scary alex"

"Shhh......please, if you talk there will be a problem

The more we go inside the more my heart starts to race. Every inch of my body is lit with fright. 'Tellotown visitor number 27' the last digit is 27. In any case is it related to 'unknown27' and 'cindy27' cause' all are ending with 27.
With my train of thoughts we reach a room and Alex opens the door with the keys he got. It is half red and half mustard yellow. What a bad taste. Top it off, it is deadly spooky. Oooo the half reminds me of someone getting seduced in the suite and the other half as if it's burnt while making toast. (Pictures at the top)

Alex quickly shuts the door and corners me to the wall.

"Shhh..." he silences me before I even move. He leans in closer to my lips. Wait what is he doing? He bought me here to kiss me? I try to push him but he holds me. I was about to scream but he covers my mouth with his palm.
He kisses my cheek and after lingering on my cheek for a while he swiftly moves away.
"What are yo-"
"Shh....ember please I will explain everything to you slowly but we need to act like a couple"

"What!? Hell no"

"Ember listen if you don't listen to me we will be in serious trouble"

"No Alex. If you bought me so far to rape me then I'm going to scream"

"Gosh no ember! I wouldn't do that! This place is called tellotown. It is safe only for couples and if you are single or the only one to come here they will rape you, kill you and eat you up"

"What?"

"Shh....I told you to speak softly"

"Sorry"

"So please I'm not telling you to be my girlfriend but until we get out of here act like one, please"

"Alright! On one condition though"

"Tell me"

"You need to tell me what is going on"

"Okay. I tracked the number Cindy27 / unknown27 whatever and I found this location. This will help us find out who it is"

"Ohhh now I know but why did you kiss me?"

"When we entered there was an old couple in the opposite window who were watching us. So if we did not kiss they would have some doubts. Hope you get it" Alex says while closing the windows.

I think my hell life has just begun
