Chp 36-Love story closes

Embers pov :

           I was shocked.

"Why are you saying like this Alex? "

"Love faded between us ember! Why can you not understand that fact?" Alex literally yells in anger. He's pissed and he's not ready to know the truth.

"But she loves you"

"And I don't care..."

Silence......

There was no word exchanged between. Alex just stated that he doesn't love Alice anymore and he regrets the love they had.

*flashback*
I was talking to Lauren as to how we can persuade Alex to talk to Alice and someone enters.

"Too bad your secret is out. Now what are you going to do?" Alex? Whyyy!!

"W-what secret? What are you talking about?" I tried to play it cool but I did a bad job at it.

"We need to talk" he Said with a stern face.

I just stood froze in my spot and looked at Lauren. She gets the message that the 'we have to talk' is only between me and him excluding Lauren. I don't want her to leave.

After she leaves Alex locks the door and the inner me suddenly shrieks. Alex looks really intimidating right now. Like he's my boss and I'm his subordinate. 
Oh wait! Does that sound perverted? No? Yes? Alright Alright!

"Let me state that I no longer love alice even if you want to patch us back which is never going to happen. Also, keep your sh*t together and stop mending stuff that isn't meant to be ember" Alex looks directly in my eyes.

"I regret the love we had" he says.

*flashback ends*

After the conversation between me and him I'm walking back to my dorm. How will I explain this to Alice? She loves him but that jerk! Ergh! I don't even want to see him dumb face!!

I slowly open the door to see Alice studying. What?!?!? She's studying? Wow....

"Hi" I say sitting beside her

"Hi! Wassup? Everything okay?" She asks.

I hug a pillow and tell her"I don't know if I should tell you this"

"Is it about Alex? "

I nod.

"Don't worry tell me. I can take any kind of insult"
I hold her hand with mine in a comforting way " I tried to make him jealous for you and I thought it worked so I wanted to make another plan. By then he heard our conversation and he confronted me and told me  to stop patching things that are not meant to be"

She still looks at thinking that I have something to complete.

"That's it" I sigh

"I know that's not it. You are not telling me what you have to"

Call me selfish but I didn't want her to get hurt by Alex's words. She doesn't need to know. Its painful.

"I told you everything Alice"

"No you did not. Just tell me already"

I give up. No use of hiding it.

"He said his love faded"

She looks down and pulls up her hands to her self.

"I was right. He won't forgive me"

"Hey" I hug her "don't say that. You just have to talk to him yourself then maybe it will work"
