Chapter 24: Mine

"So you are finally back with your parents huh?" Chanyeol asked, pulling my suitcase up my driveway.

"So it seems." I say looking up at my house.

"You know", Chanyeol started, "if it doesnt work out you can always come stay with me." Chanyeol said smirking down at me. He is such a flirt nowadays.

"Ha no. If I did that Jb would actually murder you." I say with a chuckle. Even though I was being completely serious.

"Actually I agree." Chanyeol said, bringing my stuff in my house.

Chanyeol headed towards the stairs afterwards, and I followed suit. Then I got a text from none other than Jb.

*buzz buzz*

Why is Chanyeol in your house?

Oh my.

I just stick my phone back in my pocket and walk upstairs.

"So it's the last day of Thanksgiving break. What are you planning on doing?" Chanyeol asked, laying on my bed and staring at the ceiling.

"I dont really know. Probably a girls day with Sara and Naeyeon." I replied, unpacking my suitcase.

"How do you feel about Sara and Mark?" Chanyeol asked, turning his head in my direction.

"Honestly, he hasnt done anything bad to her yet so I am fine with it. What about you? I mean ya'll used to be best friends." I said.

Chanyeol and Mark barely glance at each other anymore.

"Eh. We are...classmates or squad mates. Whatever you want to call it. I dont know, things havent been the same. He was a bad person and I nearly beat him to death that night in the cabin- I just. I just dont know. I know he is trying really hard to change for Sara. Which is more than he has done his whole life." Chanyeol said, letting out a sigh.

"I just think the term 'best friends' died when I was beating him with a bat." Chanyeol said, sending me a weak smile.

After Chanyeol left, I got ready for girls day.

"So how has it been back at your parents?" Sara asked, taking a sip of her drink.

"Eh, its good I guess? I have only been back for a few hours. Havent see them yet." I replied.

"Wait, where are they?" Naeyeon asked with a confused face.

"They are at work. Chanyeol helped me move back."

Once I said that, the girl's faces went serious as the exchanged gazes with each other.

What are they thinking?

"What guys?"

"Well, it's just- I mean- he gave you a lot of hickeys, and they were really dark." Sara said.

"Well yeah, it had to be good in order to make Jb jealous and get away from Madison." I said.

Did they think that it was something more?

Then Naeyeon spoke.

"I think it meant a lot more than 'being a good friend' to Chanyeol."

"I have to agree. I mean, he is your ex boyfriend Lex. Not too mention the only guy in squad you havent slept with." Sara said.

"Hey, dont throw me under the bus. Both of yall have had a round or two with the guys too." I reply defensive.

"Thats not what she meant. She is just trying to say, be careful with Chanyeol. We all know he is still in love with you." Naeyeon said.

She probably has a point. I dont know. Thinking back to it, Chanyeol didnt seem a bit uncomfortable when I asked him to give me hickeys.

Is he still in love with me?

The next day, I decided to drive myself to school, and just sit on the pavillion by myself.

"Hey why are you out here?" Jb asked.

So much for alone.

"Nothing just in thought." I said, not shifting my gaze from the parking lot.

"Let me guess, Chanyeol." He said. He didnt have to ask, he already knew.

"Howd you know?"

"I can tell. Plus he was like the only guy you were with yesterday. Oh and thanks for replying to my text." Jb said.

He is so salty.

"Yeah, I guess Im just confused on where our relationship is." I said.

"Well simple. Yall are friends. Not dating. You are mine. M-I-N-E." He said.

"Im serious Jb."

"So am I."

"Well I mean like how comfortable he was with giving me them. It wasnt a normal." I said, turning to see an irritated Jb.

"Easy. He still loves you." Jb said, annoyed. Then he stood up and walked away.

"So how was girls day?" Chanyeol asked me.

We werent doing shit in class so Chanyeol and I were just conversating.

"It was good." I plainly replied.

I didnt want to talk anymore, because if he asked what we talked about. The answer is him. We literally talked about Park Chanyeol the entire time.

"What did yall talk about?"

Really? -_-

"Just girls stuff. Tampons, cramps, bleeding, sa-"

"I get it." Chanyeol said. He looked uncomfortable now. Mission accomplished.

I shut my locker just to be met by a familiar face.

Jb was leaning against the lockers, with his head tilted and a smirk on his face.

"How about we go on a date tonight? Just the two of us." Jb whispered.

"Haha okay? What did you have in mind?"

What did I just ask?

"Eh you know. Picnic, alcohol...and you know...yeah." Jb said, winking at the last part.

Oh god.

"Hope you and Madison have a great time." I said, patting his chest and walking away.

Then he grabbed my wrist.

I turned to meet his serious gaze.

"Nobody messes me up more than you. So drop the bullshit. So just say yes."

Oh god. What the hell did I just agree to? Wait did I just nod?

All these thoughts were going through my head, that I hadnt even noticed that I nodded.

"Great. Pick you up when your parents are asleep." Jb said. His face was still serious, even when he winked at his last word.

I turned to watch him walk away. I saw how the girls looked at him, and I knew I was lucky.
