Chapter 5.0

I tried to act natural as possible when walking into first period. Wow I must admit I was surprised that Marina had gotten early to school. I was prepared to answer Marina's questions about the cut I got on my face. I was so happy when I saw that Marina's beautiful and gorgeous face was perfectly fine. It actually calmed me from my thoughts about her getting hit by Jake.

"Good morning Lana." She whispered as she sat next to me.
"Good morning Marina." I responded back while smiling like a creep.

I didn't want to show the left side of my face because I didn't want her to worry. Of course it must've been weird that I was actually paying attention to the teacher who was in the front.

"Lana are you alright?" Marina asked me as her finger slightly poked my back which made me feel chills and butterflies inside. My heart pounded hard and I knew that I couldn't try hiding my face from her the whole day.

"I'm fine. Why?" I asked as I turned around to face her.
"Omg Lana!" Marina was so concerned that the whole class turned around and even the teacher was starring.
"Marina. Please no talking or screaming during class." The teacher said as she then turned around to continue writing the assignments.

"I'll explain after class." I said as quiet as possible. She then ripped out a paper from her notebook but I thought it was to write her notes down but instead she wrote a note to me which said:
Lana ask permission to go to the restroom right after i go

Right after she gave it to me she asked permission to go to the restroom. I must admit I loved the way she wrote my name on the note she wrote. I put the note in my binder because the way she wrote was so amazing. About 5 minutes passes by and a student who had the second pass came back from the restroom.

I then raised my hand up to ask politely for the hall pass. I ran up the stairs to the 2nd floor where the restrooms were and I just hoped the restrooms were empty.

"You lagged it a bit." Marina said as she led me into the restroom.
"So whats up Marina?" She then slightly and gently touched my cut and she slowly made her way down my cheek.
"Who did it?" She looked into my eyes furiously wanting to know. I didn't want to answer because I don't want her to be worried.
"Lana c'mon tell me..." This time she begged me and she was just so adorable.
"Jake." I said softly while she just looked down to her feet. Her head was held in shame as if it was her fault for what had happened.

"But I'm alright Marina I swear. It was just a little hit."
"Its still something Lana...And it hurts me just looking at the mark he left on you just because of me." We both just stayed in silence. No words. No sounds.

Just touch and feel.

As she dabbed a wet toilet paper on my injury she kept looking at me. The intensity between the eye contact we made was the best silent way to communicate with her. I knew we had to break the silence so it wouldn't be awkward but I wasn't sure how to.

"Your green eyes are beautiful Lana." I couldn't believe what Marina had just said to me. Not only did she compliment me but she made my day, my month, and even my year. I wasn't sure how to response to such a comment. I tried taking it all in and I did ... well my face did. Yup I blushed.

"Thank you." Was all I can think about. My mind was running in circles and her voice was repeating those words in my head. I never really got complimented by anybody which honestly doesn't matter but for such a goddess like Marina to say those words to me, they meant everything to me.

"Your blushing! Wow your really red kind of like a strawberry."
"Oh, god.. I'm sorry."
"Its alright Lana. I think we should head back to class before the teacher gets mad."
"I agree. I think we should go." We quietly walked back to class together. I was kind of upset that we had to come back into class. I was just happy today especially since it's an early school schedule and classes are shorter.

Class when by fast and my other two periods as well. I was so happy it was finally lunch. I loved just talking to Marina and just learning more about her. It usually takes Marina 5 minutes to arrive at the table where we always sit. Not today though 10 minutes passed and I got worried I decided to look for her.

I decide to walk pass by her 3rd period class which was on the first floor. Surprisingly she wasn't near and I didn't even hear her voice. Until I heard Jake screaming from the second floor and I ran up the stairs. Marina was crying as Jake was screaming at her face.

"Look at me and don't cry!" Jake said holding her head up with both hands on her cheeks. He then slapped her face.

"Hey don't hit her!" I said mad as he turned around surprised.
"Alright I guess but I don't think you want another bruise or cut on your face?" Jake sarcastically said as he approached me.
"Your just a pussy Jake!"

I gave the first hit with my fist punching him right on the mouth and he furiously grabbed me and tossed me on the floor.
"Who's the pussy now loner!" he said as he was about to punch me. Then out of nowhere my angel came.

"Lana!" Marina yelled out as she got up and ran towards Jake and pushing him off of me. I looked to my side and saw Marina hitting him on the face. I stopped Marina before she almost killed him.
He was done.
I just hoped he wouldn't touch Marina.

"Don't ever hit her again pussy!" I said while he laid on the floor bleeding from his mouth. I grabbed Marina's hand and we ran down the stairs to the restroom.

"Stupid jake left your face red from where he slapped you. How did you guys even start arguing?"
"I confronted him about what he had done to you." she's such a sweetheart but I didn't want her to get hurt.
"Marina. I told you I was fine an-"
"But I wasn't fine Lana! He hit you Lana I had to do something about it. And I did and you did as well. We both did something about it." She was right I did want another fight and I guess this was that rematch I wanted.

I just wanted to let you know this is half of chapter 5 since this chapter is pretty long I wanted to divide it. Just letting you know in case you were wondering why its titled 'Chapter 5.0'.
