It was already 3:30 and we all grabbed a basketball after stretching and practiced on the hoops. The other team was practicing their throws as well but giving such rusty dirty looks. I honestly couldn't believe what I got myself into, how the fuck did I let Marina talk me into joining this shit. I do admit I have met some cool people on the team but playing this sport, or any in general, felt right for me. I knew I desired with great passion to be a singer, but i guess as long as this made Marina happy it's alright.

I wasn't nervous throughout the game. The gym was filled completely especially since it was the first game of the school year. There was faces I didn't recognize or know which I didn't mind because I had no pressure as long as I enjoy the game. Right before we started Melanie walked into the gym and waved her hand at me, I smile and wave back.

ten minutes into the basketball game and I was already tired. I hate running but I did feel a bit of a adrenaline rush whenever someone tried taking the ball away. I could hear the coach scream out a few times, "..No Lana you pass it to your right!" I wanted to give up halfway but the good thing is that the halftime buzzer rang.

"Alright you guys are doing good out there especially in defense. Now Lana you've improved so much so continue what you doing.." The coach kept on giving us all advice on what we should do then we sat on the chairs and drank water. Music was being played it sounded like Eminem music. Me and my basketball friend, Angie, started rapping the lyrics together.

I was actually pretty hyped up but I was more hyped up when I saw my angel coming in through the doors of the gym with her cheer group. I can feel my jaw fall as she walked to sit down. Her legs were shaped so well with such skin tone complexion that not even the sun can give out. Her cheer outfit just made her look like a goddess in between all of us peasants. She is like a piece of gold that shines in the middle of destructiveness and greed.

"Let's go Lana in a huddle!" Deep thoughts disappeared and nervousness entered my mind.

I got seated for about seven minutes and then the coach decided to place me back in. As I ran and switched with one of the team members I hear a sweet voice scream.

"C'MON LANA YOU CAN DO IT!"

I smile to myself knowing who's voice it was. I felt my heartbeat fast especially knowing that Marina was here watching and so was most of the school. Almost towards the end I made a shot. The last fifteen minutes I really wanted the game to end. My legs were tired and sore and I even kind of fell, which was amazing. I could actually feel the drops of water running down my forehead and back.

The game finally ended and the score was 13 to 15 and we obviously lost. I ran right after to the gym and so did the rest of the team. When we walked into the locker rooms the Varsity team was preparing to go play next game which was in twenty minutes. As I struggle to put on my shirt because of my head I start grunting.

"Need help?" Marina smirked.

"Oh shit Marina." I quickly covered myself with any clothing I could find near me.

"Calm down Lana I'm a girl not a boy, at least not physically... I'm kidding." I was pretty shocked for a minute. As I try to put my shirt on once more and I actually accomplished Marina sat down on the bench. Her face was so pretty and she looked so happy.

"What?" I ask while taking out some pants from my locker.
"You look real cute with those Victoria Secret underwear. And you did good today." She smiles and I throw some socks at her face.
"Shut up stop lying." I say trying let her know that I'm trying to put on my clothes.
"Is that how you want to play Lana." She throws the socks back at me and we end up attacking each other.

"Alright. Alright, you won Marina. Happy? Now let me put my pants on."
"Wow Lana you take long to put on clothes." Melanie says shockingly out of nowhere.
"I know right? I've been sitting the past minutes and she's still not done." Marina grees with an innocent smile.

"Yeah right she attacked me."

********************

Since I'm a part of the sport I had mandatorily stay and watch the Varsity luckily Marina and Melanie decided to stay Melanie had bought me a gatorade and well that was very nice of her. Melanie and Angie ended up talking to each other the whole game about who knows what. And the day ended nicely because right after the game the four of us when out for pizza.

We ordered two pizzas and took them to the park. At park before we even started eating Jake appears out of nowhere.

"Hey Ma-Marina can I talk to you? Alone." Jake said staring at all of us.

"Uhh... I don't know."

"What do you mean you don't know?" His voice rising higher and higher as the minutes pass.

"I'm sorry. I'm not ready to speak to you."

I looked over to Angie who looked as if she was going to blow up on Jake.

"Leave the fuck out of this park. Or I'll send my daddy on your ass." I was honestly so shocked Angie is such a quiet girl and for her to cus the way she did right now was mindblowing. He actually left this time without arguing.

"What's seriously up with that boy, is he like your ex?" Melanie asks.

"Yeah his name is Jake." I was feeling so jealous and mad for some reason that I still don't understand till this day.
