Onsra (Larina)

Chapter 6

"C'mon Lana it will be fun!" Marina insisted as she pulled my arm. She wanted me to join softball with her and even though softball season is still months away, they announced that tryouts were a week from today. I've honestly never been a sports person besides once in awhile watching football, but other than that i don't like anything. "Alright, alright." I gave in I just couldn't let her down like that and she didn't want to tryout alone, so why not? We walked up to the coach who was waiting outside the girls' locker to give away flyers and application. I was still indecisive about joining.

The coach, who was also the coach for the girls basketball team, suggested I play basketball since the season was more sooner than softball. I actually kind of felt excited when he mentioned basketball I was pretty down. I offered Marina a ride to her home right after we got the applications.

"Oh my god! I can't believe you're joining basketball Lana!" I blushed. "Since softball season hasn't started I might join the cheerleading team to cheer for you at your games!" that made me a bit nervous I must admit. "That'll be great." I smiled at her.

"I wanted to ask you who the song was about? You know the one you titled 'Lucky Ones'." My heart then dropped and I got nervous I didn't want to lie to her but at the same time I didn't want to admit to her that it was about her. She was the one who influenced me to write the song. She was the one who made me feel like the lucky one. She was the one. "Ummm... I just.. you know.. Made it up." "Well you're a great writer and it sounds as if you've fallen in love before."

"Can I ask if you can sleepover Lana? Only if your mom lets you." My eyes must've brighten at the invitation she had just. I tried to act like it wasn't a big deal that I was sleeping over, but it was! I LANA WAS SLEEPING OVER AT MARINA'S HOUSE! I got home and grabbed my gym bag and placed pajamas and clothing for the next day. I quickly took a shower and when I walked out the door my mom came screaming from the inside of the house. "Lana Elizabeth Grant where do you think you're going!" I rolled my eyes fuck man. "I'm just going to sleepover my friend's house!" "And who has given you permission!?" "Myself now!" I shouted and threw the door behind me. I ran as quickly as possible to my car so she wouldn't hit me.

I was nervous on the way to Marina's house I wasn't sure how I should introduce myself to her parents or what to say. It was my first time going to a sleepover, besides my cousins' house.

I got to her house around 6:30 it was already darkish. I called her when I was outside and she quickly came out the door running towards the car. She knocked on the window for me to let her in.

"I can't believe you actually came!"
"Same. I actually came without my mother's permission."
"Your such a bad ass Lana I always thought of you as the a quite nerd. No offence."
"I guess."
"Well we should head inside." She then got out the car and got my gym bag and carried it on her.
"You don't have to carry it Marina." I assured her but of course she acted like she didn't listen to me.

As I walked into the door of her house she placed my bag on a couch. Her house was way better than the one I lived in. She closes the door behind us and told me to settle down on the couch.

"So my parents aren't home so we have the whole house for the whole night to ourselves."
"Alright cool."
"Do you smoke?" She awkwardly out of the blue asked me.
"Umm yeah.."
"Sorry its just to be honest I've never smoked before and well its been a while since my parents have been away and I want to try it." I was honestly shocked that she had never smoked before. I knew I had some in my car but I promised I wasn't going to smoke since about 3 months ago. Marina looked at me as if she knew I had some. She so innocent but I can't just leave her without an experience, so i eventually gave in.

"Hey Marina I have some... we can you know smoke some if you want, BUT  only this one time."
"Alright but I'm kind of nervous." We both raced to my car and I got one blunt because I didn't feel like smoking so much. We then ran back to her house like two little girls playing in a park. She shut the door of her room  and locked it as well.

I got my lighter and lit up the blunt, wow how much I miss doing this on my own but not today. Today I wasn't alone I was with the most beautifulest girl having a good time. I could tell she was excited and nervous but the adrenaline got to her when I took the first hit and let the smoke come out my mouth. I handed her the blunt and she coughed as she took her first hit. I literally only took two more hits and let her finish the whole blunt.

She was so cute. Her eyes got red and her eyes were squinting as well. We both sat on her bed right after she finished.

"How do you feel?" She gave me a corny smile and I knew exactly how she felt.
"Your my bad ass nerd Lana." She then grabbed my hand and my heart fell out my chest. I felt a hotness rush up my face. right after she let my hand go I started sweating and shaking. I couldn't believe what had just happened. Wait but what if she's only messing around or just meant it in a friendly way. I right away knew this night was going to be interesting, especially after the little thing we just had.
