Chapter 20

After a great weekend with my sister Chuck and dad. My mom and I decided that we should visit every once in awhile. And as for Marina, she texted me  once saying not to text her for few days because her mother took her phone away.(heatherplaysmc inspired by the day that my mom did this).

I really don't know why her mother doesn't want me seeing Marina all I know is that maybe she had the same thoughts as my did. I really didn't care how much work it would take for me and Marina to talk to each other. I knew I had to make it up to her mom but I don't know how to make her like me again.

When I woke up on Monday to go to school I didn't know how to stop smiling and I saw Melanie waiting on a bench, most likely waiting for Angie.

I when early for many reasons first because I really wanted to see the love of my life and second because I wanted to talk to coach about not wanting to be on the team.

I mean the only reason I decided to join was because Marina and I thank her for the experience and I got to meet Angie. Heading for the gym I saw the coach.

"Hey coach!" I screamed
"Oh hey Lana. Where have you been you're not coming to practice consistently anymore?" I ran up to him so we wouldn't be screaming across the gym.
"Yeah about that coach... I kind of don't have time anymore and don't get me wrong I really love basketball." Again with the lies that keep coming out. He stared at me and looked down disappointed.
"Are you sure Lana because you have such a good talent... And are you sure it's not the girls on the team?"
"Yeah I'm sure it's not the girls they are actually cool. And thanks coach I really appreciate it."
"Well it sucks letting such a good member leave but if that's what you want... then you know.... But I hope you change your mind and join next year it would be great to have you back on the team."
"Alright. I will keep that in mind. Well I gotta go, I want to be early to class."

I walked out feeling kind of uncomfortable for some reason. I don't even like basketball I love music. Music is my passion, my motivation, and just a big part of my life and who I am.

I walked into class awkwardly when I saw Marina in class. I quickly made my way to my seat as other students entered the class. I sat down looking at the table and then I put my head on the table and just wonder about everything.

Marina got close up to where my head was and touched my hair. I felt her hand start making her way from my hair to my neck, and it gave me chills.

"Marina not in the mood." I mumbled and she stopped.
"What's wrong love?" She asked whispering in my ear and putting an arm around me.
"Just tired..." I said picking my head up from the table.
"You know I can't stop playing what happened to us on the weekend." I couldn't believe Marina was replaying the whole weekend as well.
"Same." I smiled and blushed a bit.

"I wanted to ask and make sure it's alright if we tell Melanie and Angie because we have to tell someone some good news and that's not our parents."
"About that. My family knows already and they are fine with it, now we just need to change your mother's mind."
"So what else did you do this weekend, it sounds like you had fun."
"Well I met this cool guy who goes by the nickname Smarty."
"Oh my gosh. Smarty?" She laughed out loud.
"So what's his actual name?" Marina asked serious.
"I'm not sure... But in a way I like the mystery behind his eyes, it's a bit intriguing." I was speaking my mind out a bit too much and I noticed I was when Marina looked disinterested.
"I better not catch you kissing him." She jokingly said with not much humor because she actually meant it.
"No trust me I don't like him and he is older than me.. Not my type. By the way I think we should tell them, I mean they're our friends so they should be happy for us."
