Onsra (Larina)

Chapter 4

I woke up from my nap I had taken and I looked at the time and remembered I had homework to do. I got the paper that the teacher had gave all of us with instructions. I got up and got my hair into a bun and pulled my keyboard towards my bed.

I wanted to write something special even though it was only a first draft that the teacher wanted. I thought about how me and Marina met and how we got close. I turned on my keyboard and started play a few notes.

I knew that this was a pair project but I didn't want to bother Marina any more than what I have already. So I decided I write the song and melody and write Marina name as the creator of the song.

A few notes really hit my heart and they just felt right. And in that moment I started humming. 

I then realised I had the chorus and I quickly wrote down the words. The words expressed how i felt about Marina but then I remembered that we are just friends and that I don't even know if she is even at least bisexual. I then changed the gender words to neutral but it didn't sound good so I just wrote the song as if it was a straight couple. 

I wasn't even sure if Marina would even like the lyrics maybe it was too lovey dovey or maybe the melody would be to boring. My thoughts were then broken by my mom knocking on the door.

"Lana! I left a box of pizza on the counter I'm leaving!" I sighed because i knew exactly where she worked. I peeked out the window and saw my mom speed walking towards a car then quickly getting in it. I let myself fall on my bed and reread over and over the lyrics which made me smile. 

I got on my phone and walked down to get a slice of pizza when I realised that I could be talking to Marina right now. The sad part is I didn't have her number as I ate my pizza I thought of ways to ask for her number.

"'So... Marina can I have your number.?' Nope no that's stupid. Oh wait 'Hey Marina I was-' No!" 

I thought of ways I can maybe ask Marina for her number without being awkward. I then asked siri how to ask for a friend's number but it was no use. Then I heard the bell ring.

"Ugh! Coming!" I looked out the peephole to see somebody who I didn't want to see at all. I couldn't hide or not answer and I was honestly not scared so I opened it.

"Hey Jake. What's up?" I tried to be as polite as I can.                                                                                         

"What's up? What's up?! Do you really want to know what's up! First of all you basically made the situation between me and Marina worst, now she doesn't even talk to me for shit!" He then grasped my wrist tight which honestly hurt even though he was an average size.                                                               

"I was just cheating on her for her to pay attention to me! And you probably told her to not talk to me which I just can't let slide!" He squeezed my wrist even tighter and I know I couldn't just stay quiet and not defend Marina.                                                                                                                                                                 

"If you really did love her you wouldn't have made her cry that much and even make her sad! You're just hopeless boy from the ghetto who thinks you can get any girl you want and mess around with their hearts! Leave Marina alone!!!" In that moment we were both boiled and he punched me in the face and I fell to the floor he then spit on me and yelled out "PATHETIC LONER!"

I tried telling myself to get up and I did but my head started hurting and I closed the door. I headed towards the fridge to find an ice pack to place over my head. I rushed up to the bathroom and looked in the mirror I touched my wound which had some blood coming down. I knew I couldn't tell Marina about it, about anything that had happened between me and Jake. I didn't want her worried and I had to make a quick simple excuse for the bruise I may get tomorrow. 

I rinsed the blood off and got some rubbing alcohol to put on an open cut I got. I must admit it burned and stung a lot. I just hoped he hasn't hit Marina at all because then there would be a bigger problem because she is mine even if she doesn't know it yet. 

I put on earphones and listen to some classical musical as I slowly drifted off in my sleep.
