Why are you taking so long to answer?
Lana
Sorry Marina I just took a shower

I couldn't believe that we have been texting each other for the past 2 hours. It made me nervous though because what if I said the wrong thing.

Marina
So are you going to tell me who you have a crush on?
Lana
Honestly I don't have a crush on anybody
Marina
Sure you don't there has to be somebody you like from school..
Lana
Well there isn't anybody who is attractive at school..

That was a lie and I couldn't believe I lied to her. I felt bad because not only did I lie to her but I couldn't express myself to her at least not at this moment in time.

Marina
What about anybody outside of school c'mon Lana you can trust me... I mean who am I gonna tell 🙄

I do trust you it's just that I don't like anybody at school but what about you who do you like? 😏

Trying to avoid her questions was very hard but now it was my turn to bug her.

Well similar as you I don't have a crush on anybody but there is someone who has my heart and it's not my ex

Oh god she likes someone and there goes my chance that I should've taken. She can get any guy she wants and once she does I will be a loner...so much for her going to cheer at my games. I can't text back because then I will be expected to ask her who the guy is then she will tell me and I will obviously left heartbroken.

I threw my phone to the wall. I grabbed my cup and when downstairs to fill it up with water. It took me at least 10 minutes to look for the remote control but when I did it was to late.

"Lana I'm here earlier from work!" My mom came inside screaming.
"Stop yelling I'm right here." I said with the remote control in my hand which she snatched and changed the channel to the news. She almost fell walking up the stairs.

"Oh my gosh.." I laughed quietly and my mom turned around throwing her wanna be MK bag. She must be on her rag since she was home early and screaming and then throwing shit.

"Lana!!! Come up here!" Talking about periods maybe I was the one on mine since I was feeling lazy to even go up the stairs.
"Lana come up here I got you something!"
"Fuck alright chill and stop screaming."

"What?" I said outside her room.
"Come inside I'm not mad or anything." She's not mad? she just threw a freaking bag at my face a few minutes ago. Maybe she was turning bipolar..
"So I got you 2 tickets to go watch the Arctic Monkeys with your girlfriend what's her face...-"
"Marina. And she is not my girlfriend she's just my friend.. at least for right now.. I really hope we do become something though.."
"Well stop getting so emotional and have fun with your 'friend'."
"Thanks mom. I really appreciate it.."
"Now if you can please get out my room."

She shut the door and locked it right when I stepped both feet outside her door.

"Oh wait Lana there's one thing you have to keep in mind." I stopped and turned around she looked real drunk.
"There's three tickets inside that envelope one of them is for and adult to go or anybody over 18 find somebody or else I'll go." She slammed the door again.

I really had to find somebody older to take us because I didn't want my mom to go to embarrass us or more importantly me. I couldn't wait to tell Marina the great news because I know how much she will freak out.

Then it came to me that I knew exactly who can take us to the concert. My phone then vibrated, it was Marina for sure because my phone is so dry.

Why aren't you answering? Did i say something bad .. Im really sorry lana!

And I thought I was the one who overthinks and freaks out...

sorry marina just that i was busy but i got good news to tell you tomorrow

After 20 minutes of having nothing to do I when to my room. I thought about how at that same moment Marina was sleeping with her eyes closed looking like an angel. I tried imagining her reaction when I tell her about the tickets. Just imagining her reaction made my smile like a fool. I turned off the lights of my room and got in my sheets. I took out my phone and just re-read the messages between me and her.  Her last message was the one that hit my heart the most. I thought about how if we ever do get together and in the future live together, we will lay on the same bed every night and she'll just whisper 'goodnight Lana' made me so emo.

I really can't explain what I was feeling and have been feeling for her since I saw her. I couldn't go to sleep. These feelings just made me more awake than I was before.

I turned on the light, grabbed, and pencil I soon ended up writing a song that just expressed the way I felt towards her. I realised that if I'm gonna be this close to her I needed a binder to just put all my feelings I write on paper.

I looked at the time.
"Fuck it's 1:13 am."
I quickly put away the paper inside a random binder I found.

Just before I felt like I was really gonna knocked out I let out a breath of air which contained the words...
