I got up early in the morning which was a miracle. I never noticed how dark it was at 6:00 am until today. I took a quick shower and put on my favourite perfume that I only use in certain occasions. I put on a black and white flannel with some ripped jeans. I quickly put some lipstick and when out the door with my bag on my shoulders.

It was about 6:45 am when I got into the car. I wasn't sure if I should buy Marina something just for the heck of it. I really wanted to buy her chocolates or something..but that would be too friendly and weird.

Walking into the hallways so early was very very weird. Not much people were around. I sat on the stairs next to where Marina's locker was.

When I saw her shadow pass by I when right behind her and once she opened her locker I covered both of her eyes with my hand. She started to giggle and then touched my hands.

"Let me guess, is it...Lana?"
"Nope." I took my hands off of her eyes.
"I have a surprise for you."
"Do you really?" I took out the three tickets from my pocket.
"No fucken way!!!" She screamed so loud that it didn't bother my ear at all. We both when to our first period class obviously excited and happy.

When I walked into the room right behind Marina I saw Yolanda starring at me with intense eyes of a whore. Whatever.
"So when is the concert?" Marina asked and I handed her one of the tickets.
"According to the ticket September 29 which is next week."
"Which is on a Friday."
"Exactly. You're so smart Marina."
"Wait hold up are you being sarcastic." She playfully hit my arm.

"Hey Marina." Yolanda stood in front of both of us while Marina looked down real mad. Yolanda was totally planning something in her head whether it was to destroy the friendship me and Marina were starting or if it was to hurt her in any way.

"Marina I'm really sorry and I know you may not feel the same about me but at least give me a chance..." Wow she really is good at sugar coating the situation as if it was nothing what she did.

"Can you at least think about it Marina..." She then walked back to her seat leaving Marina stressed out whether she should give her a second chance or nah.
"Hey you're really smart Marina you should know the answer. And no I wasn't being sarcastic." I smiled getting up from where I was seated and walked to my assigned seat.

During the rest of the period I didn't look behind, where Marina was seated. A few minutes before the bell rang I turned around and I saw Marina intensely staring at me. Accidentally lost in her beauty, I stared back for a while until she snapped out of her thoughts or whatever. She so mysterious at times, I wonder what's going through her mind.

By the time it was finally lunch things got even more mysterious. I didn't say anything because I would just be disturbing her thoughts. It was just so hard not hearing her voice.

"Are you alright?"
"Yes and no.."
"Is it about Yolanda?"
"Yes and I'm confused."
"About what?"
"There's this person and I'm not sure if we are on the same page." Fuck she probably has been talking to Jake. I obviously had to take her thoughts into consideration if I wanted to at least be friends with her.

"I'm sure he feels the same about you." I hope my tone of voice was persuasive and she actually thought I agreed about her and Jake.
"Lana you're a great friend and you look beautiful with that lipstick."
"Hey one question though. You've never told me when your birthday is."
"October 10."
"No way! So you're a Libra?!" I sounded as if I was fangirling.
"Yup. Which I don't find exciting. Do you actually believe in that bullshit?"
I raised my eyebrow.
"I guess it's not bullshit if you actually believe it."
"Nice save Marina." I threw a piece of paper at her.

"So who's the third ticket for?"
"Well I was thinking your brother..."
"You're kidding.. Right?"
"No I'm not. It's just that my mom wants someone older to be with us, so I thought to myself why not bring Marina's brother."
"He's lame though and doesn't even listen to the Arctic Monkeys like WE do."

She must not like her brother because her face said it all when I was explaining why he had to come. I'm pretty sure they get along fine especially because how happy she was when he came home from college for the weekend. Maybe it's just a sibling thing that I don't know about because I am my own sibling and I can't even deal with myself at times.

"As long as we go I guess it will still be great." Marina said trying to see the good part about the whole thing.

"Yeah and we're going to see the most amazingest band ever."

"You're right this should be good." I finally saw a light shine in her eyes and that's when I knew she was back into a good mood.

"Quick question though and I want you to be 100% honest and I promise I won't hate you or anything but... Do you like my brother?.."
"What kind of question is that. I barely even know your brother." was she seriously asking me if I liked her brother. If only she knew that I like her actually no I love her. I just wish there was a way to tell her the way I feel.

"I was just wondering because he has been asking me about you and well I just got curious to know if you liked him. But forget that thought."
"Yes you should forget that thought."
"I don't have cheer practice today.."
"Really? Or are you just trying to ditch cheer practice."
"No I'm not trying to ditch. I mean it."
"You're lucky because I have practice especially since the first game is near."
"I was wondering what you want me to bring you so you can eat after practice."
"Are you serious?"
"Yes I'm serious so what do you want from McDonalds?"
"Just get me anything I don't mind."
"Alright well I'll see you during Basketball practice."

The bell had just rang and she was in a rush to her class so she got up quickly and grabbed her bag. As she walked away I realized what a great friend she was which just touched my heart even more.

"Hey Marina!" I yelled and she stopped and turned around.
"Be careful.." I said as she waved bye to me with a wide smile.
