Chapter 12
"Tim what are we going to be doing?" My voice quivers because I'm not sure what exactly we have to do.
"Your going to learn how to fight. If your so confident on leaving the cabin, lets see how well you can defend yourself out here." A smirk appears on his face as he leads me into a large gym looking building.
When we step inside there's a blast of cool air. I let my eyes adjust and look around. There are swords, shields and almost every type of weapons hanging on the wall. I look at who is inside and I see Kain and Derek sword fighting in the gym. They're moving with grace, unlike everyone who would sword fight at a school.
I didn't even notice Tim left until he cleared his throat beside me. "Are you ready?"
"As I'll ever be. Now we don't have all day so make this quick Tim dear."
I was mocking him and it was fun. A smirk appears on his face like he enjoys me doing that. He throws a sword at me and without think I reach up and caught it. I looked it over.
The sword was shining. It was heavy in my hands, but it felt like it was suppose to be there.
I hear Tim move and in a few seconds he brings the sword down. I block it without thinking and push towards him. He spins and tries swinging at me, only to be met by another block of my sword.
His eyes went wide like he's never had anyone beat him. I put pressure up towards him and he moves only to try and swipe again. I block it with ease and push the flat sides of the swords against him and he releases his sword and lets it drop to the ground.
I hear Kain and Derek start clapping behind us. I turn and look at Tim who has a smile on his face.
"No one has ever disarmed Alpha like that Kim. How'd you do that?" Kain asks with a surprise in his voice.
"I. . . I don't know." Tim puts his arm around my waist and makes me release the sword. I didn't notice I was gripping it so hard.
You hear Tim clear his throat again and Kain and Derek both nod and turn around and go back to training.
"Now it's time to move up a level." He moves away from me and goes over to the weapon wall. He pulls out a bow and an arrow and hands it to me.
My eyes go wide as I look it over. "I've never shot a bow. I don't know how to."
He smiles and looks at me. He hands me the bow and arrow. "That's why I'm here dear."
He takes my hand and places the arrow on the bow. He moves my hand until its perfectly fit into the bow. He pulls back my arm and gets me ready to shoot at a few targets.
I was a little nervous about holding the bow, but I thought maybe I could do this. I pull back a bit more and release. The arrow goes faster then I've ever seen a bow go, and it hits right in the centre of the bullseye.
"Nice job. I guess we know you know how to use a sword and bow."
Both the bow and the sword disappear and I feel something cold move around my neck. I reach up in a defensive mode and Tim grabs my hand and looks me in the eyes.
"It's only your sword and bow. You'll have it everywhere you go. We'll work on the rest later."
I relax and just nod. Tim's arm slips around my waist as he leads me out of the gym and back into the town.
We walked for a good half hour talking about our childhood and he finally answered a few of my questions. It was near dark when we finished everything. He had taught me how to use daggers and other types of swords like a sai.
He leads me back to the cabin in which we were sleeping in. We go inside and he turns and tells me he has to go talk to a few people. He tells me to hop in bed and he'll be back later tonight.
I turn and look at him kind of disappointed I couldn't fall asleep in his arms like I usually do. He looks me in the eyes. He leans down towards me. I could feel his breath against my lips just inches away. He pulls away and back up.
"Sorry. I shouldn't. I'll lose control."
With that said he walked out of the cabin leaving me standing there.
I felt all alone and abandoned. I was going to let him kiss me and he just walked out. I closed my eyes and head into the bedroom.
I crawl into my pyjamas and hopped into the bed. I couldn't sleep very well so I just tossed and turned until I finally fall asleep.
