Who would have guessed the girl he was looking for was directly below him. And the man who had taken her hiding in the lifeboat. When Ada had heard her father, she felt intense relief. She prayed that he'd find her. With none of the passengers answering him, or even knowing what he was talking about, the king sighed and dropped his arms.
"Guess I'll just have to find her." He mumbled to himself. His golden eyes wandered in search of where to start. The king figured he would just need to work his way down. He started opening doors, and searching rooms. Pisti stayed in the sky, to keep pace with the ship. It felt like it had been forever in a minute as Sinbad looked everywhere for his daughter. There was only one place left to check, and that was below deck. The door to one of the rooms wouldn't open. Golden eyes narrowed as Sinbad kicked in the door. Ada cringed at the sound of the door breaking. Her heart raced fast. She wanted to believe it was her father, but she was still panicked. What if it wasnt? Her fears were put to rest when she heard the king call her name. He ran over to her and took off her gag first. Unlike the man who had taken her, he was careful to not pull her hair. After the gag, he undid the blindfold. He untied her wrists and ankles. Ada brought her hands up and looked at them. Her wrists had dark purple bruises wrapped around from the tight rope. Her ankles had similar marks and her head still pounded. Her mouth was sore from being forced open and her eyes stung from the sudden change in lighting. Her father opened his arms.
"Daddy!" She croaked. Ada ran into her father's embrace with tears streaming down her face. Sinbad hugged the girl tight and picked her up. She cried into his clothing.
"I was so scared, daddy. I *hiccup* thought I wouldn't s- *hiccup* see you again..." Sinbad held her close and rocked back and forth with her in his arms.
"Let's go home." He tells her. "Ja'far is still looking for you." Ada looked up at her father and smiled, tears still in the corners of her eyes. He carried the girl out of the room and to the deck. The shocked faces of the people looked even more so, seeing that there was a child being held captive. Pisti spotted them and lowered the bird so Sinbad could climb on with the child. The three of them flew back to Sindria, relieved. They spot Ja'far still searching the city. He noticed the giant bird shadow over him and looked up, the sun blurring his vision. Sinbad jumped down still holding his daughter. Pisti had as well, almost immediately after, and the bird flew off. Ja'far felt much calmer, knowing Ada is now safe. But he was angered by the bruises on her wrists and legs.
"Ja'far!" Ada cried happily. Sinbad put her down and she ran to hug her best friend who held her in a tight embrace. Then a thought dawned on the Viceroy. Ada will never sleep in her room again.
