Ja'far was completely speechless. On one hand, he didn't want to lie to her, but on the other, he didn't want to tell her she was probably right. So the assassin just sat there quietly.

Realizing she wasn't going to get an answer, her tears stopped. The shiny gold her eyes once we're had turned dull. She adverted her gaze from Ja'far, back to the ground and pushed passed him. The man sat there silently. The silence Ada dreaded hearing when she asked him. She wasn't stupid. She knew that silence meant she was right. She got a bit of distance between them, before stopping.

"You know...I don't wanna be like daddy anymore..." She told her best friend, as she weaved throughout the crowd and back to her room. She layed on her bed in silence, with her eyes glued to the window. She was in an awkward state of mind where she wasn't fully asleep, nor fully awake.

She wouldn't let her mind wander. She didn't want to think about anything, so she decided she wouldn't.

Ja'far was nothing short of pissed. His king was an idiot, sure! But this much of one!? Why would he get drunk at his young daughter's party!? And drunk or sober, why would he even THINK it MIGHT be okay to carelessly flirt with random women on such an occasion!? Though, Ja'far knew it was futile to scold his king while he was in a drunken state. However, drunk or not, Ja'far was NOT about to let Sinbad off the hook. But comforting Ada came first.

A light knocking was heard from the door, though no answer was came from inside. Ja'far slowly pushed open the door to reveal an empty room. His heart sank and his head pounded. The quick realization that she could have easily left her room again and snuck through the crowd made him sick to his stomach. How could he have been so careless!? His silver eyes darted frantically about the room, making sure he didn't just l overlook her. He shut the door and ran as fast as he could back to the crowd.
As much as he didn't want to, Ja'far knew the first thing he had to do was tell Sinbad.

"What!? Was she taken again!?" Sinbad asked, instantly sobering up. Ja'far just sent him an icy glare.

"No, Sin. She ran away." He said in a tone cold enough to match his eyes.

"Now why would sh-" Ja'far cut him off.

"She saw you, Sin." Ja'far informed him, turning on his heel, and starting his search for Ada.

Sinbad stood there, confused. Saw him? Saw him what? His golden eyes widened when he figured it out. How could he be so stupid? He had to find Ada. He had to make things right. But thinking on it, he wasn't even sure if he could.

Ada sat in a ball in the sand, starring off into the vast ocean. She felt calmer near the sea, with the tides just barely reaching her toes. She took a deep breath and got lost in her thoughts. 'If daddy never loved mommy...does he even love me?' Hot tears mixed with the cold sea water, her sadness becoming part of the world that she cherished.
