Magi: Sinbad x child x Ja'far (On Hold)

Chapter 34

Ada woke up the next morning with foggy memories of the night before. She threw her feet over the edge of her bed before she stopped abruptly. Wait...did...did her father say he was going to kiss Ja'far...!? Her golden eyes widened as a wicked smile made it's way to her face. 

Quickly throwing on a dress, Ada darted out her door, to be greeted by the black puppy, who pounced on her. FawDa now had a pretty purple bow tied neatly around her neck.

Ada took a moment to pet the dog before running off again,this time to be stopped by Ja'far who skillfully grabbed her arm and let out a sigh, smiling at the girl's appearance.

Her hair was knotted and over her face, her dress was on backwards and her shoes were on the wrong feet. She looked up at her best friend through her hair as he dragged her back to her room.

He tugged off her dress, placing it back the right direction, fixed her shoes, then sat on her bed, pulling her into his lap as he started brushing her hair.

"Ja'far...?" She questioned. He hummed in response, as he tugged at her hair with the brush.

"Did daddy kiss you!?" He...certainly wasn't expecting that...and it slightly concerned him that Ada seemed so excited about her question.

"No. Nor will he ever." Ja'far stated bluntly. Ada visibly deflated, causing Ja'far to cringe. He could just tell today was going to be a great day.

After a few more minutes of Ja'far brushing the girl's hair, they were done and Ada was gone before Ja'far could even blink, with the puppy at her heels.

The man shuddered. What did that girl have planned?

Ada burst into her father's room, startling him awake. His eyes widened as he saw a small child climb his bed and jump at him. He held her to his chest as he sat up, heart beating far too fast to be the slightest bit tired.

"Morning daddy!" She practically shouted. Sinbad chuckled and kissed her forehead.

"Morning!" He chirped back at her. "Someone's excited today." He noted looking at her. Ada simply smiled and nodded. "Alright." The man sighed, getting up and setting his daughter on the floor. "Let me get dressed." Ada nodded and darted out of the room. Sinbad just knew something exciting was going to happen today. He just had to wait and see what.

The sun was barely up, and Ada was so excited, though she still had a couple hours until breakfast, so she left to the courtyard.

With a plop, Ada layed in the grass, only to be attacked with licks from FawDa. She laughed and desperately tried to push the puppy off of her, failing miserably until Pisti pried the excited pup off of her.

"Ja'far asked me to come get you." Pisti said. Ada nodded happily and followed pisti, with FawDa right behind them.

"Hey, Pisti...? Why does FawDa shake her head up and down when she walks?" Ada asked. Pisti smiled.

"She only has one eye, so that's what she has to do to see how far away things are." The woman explained in a way she thought Ada would understand.

"Oohhh...." Ada pondered it for a moment, before closing her left eye and trying it herself. Pisti laughed at the girl's actions and mimicked her. The two got weird looks as they walked into the dining hall.

Ada climbed into her seat between Sinbad and Ja'far, and immediately turned to her father as he was taking a sip of his wine.

"Daddy...? Are you going to kiss Ja'far today?" She asked innocently and rather loudly. Ja'far froze and Sinbad started coughing, causing him to spit out his wine. How unexpected.
