Sharrkan shook off his surprise and laughed.
"Looks like the wood was rotting." He patted Ada's head and took the sword. Let's call that, good for today. Kay?" Ada smiled and nodded. Once the girl had run off, Sharrkan looked at the broken sword once again, astonished.
Ada had something very important to do. She pushed open the door to the library for the second time today and went straight to the area where Yamraiha had left the scroll and storybook. She sat on the floor in front of the scroll, and pointed to the first letter, making the sound that Yamraiha had taught her. The girl practiced for hours, before Yamraiha came in the room and found her.
"You think you've got them all memorized?" The older woman smiled at the child. Ada looked up at her with a cocky smile that reminded Yamraiha far too much of Sharrkan.
"Yeah!" She announced.
"Then why don't you go play before the sun goes down?" Yamraiha suggests. Ada nodded with a smile still on her face.
"Okay!" She called and raced out of the library to the garden. She had to wonder if she would find anyone to play with. But when she got there, the garden was empty aside from a few insects. Not that it really bothered her.
Her eyes lit up when she had a great idea. She would make a flower crown for her father!
...No...For Ja'far! Oh! And one for Aladdin too! And maybe Alibaba would like one! Sharrkan and Yamraiha might want one too! Heck...she would make one for all of the eight generals, and even one for Morgiana! Everyone would be so hapy! And with that, Ada got to work. She found the prettiest flowers and weaved them together making 11 rainbow crowns by the time The sun started to go down. The girl smiled triumphantly.
The first two people she found were Pisti and Spartos, talking and laughing with one another. Ada ran over to them and ushered them to her height, where we gently placed her creations on their heads. Though, she had accidentally made Pisti's too big. Spartos smiled and thanked her. Pisti thank her as well, for the new necklaces.
She got the same basic reactions from everybody as she tracked all of them down and gave them their gift. So far, she had given everybody one, except for Ja'far and Aladdin. The sun was almost gone by the time she made it to the room the Magi was staying in.
She knocked on the door. And Aladdin quickly called for her to come in. Ada pushed the door open to see Aladdin sitting, cross-legged on the bed.
"Hey, Ada!" He called happily. Ada's eyes lit up slightly as she ran up to him and climbed onto the bed. The girl stood up and placed the crown on his head as he gave a closed-eyed smile.
"There! She chirped.
"Thank you! I love it!" The magi pat her head. Ada let out a soft giggle.
"Ada?" The girl heard a familiar voice, Aladdin looked up and Ada threw herself onto her back and stared towards the, now upsidedown, door. There Ja'far stood with a smile on his face.
"Time for bed." He told Ada, who complied, saying goodnight to Aladdin, and running out of the room with Ja'far.
With the last flower crown still around her arm, Ada held her hands up in front of Ja'far, asking him to carry her. He did what she wanted without hesitation. Ada pulled the last flower crown off of her. Ja'far closed his grey eyes gently as Ada placed the crown on the assassin's head. A small smile graced his lips as well as hers.
"Beautiful! It looks so pretty on you!" Ada announced, causing Ja'far to laugh."Why, thank you."
That night, Ada fell fast asleep. Though, the same couldn't be said about Sinbad, who spent the night sulking to himself and wondering why Ada gave everyone a flower crown, except for him.
