Chapter 13

I walked back into Elenas room and sat by her bed, I don't no how long I lay there but soon I fell asleep.

I was awoken by a small hand touching my face. I couldn't believe it when I opened my eyes, my baby girl was awake.

"Elena." I breathed "your awake!" I smiled widely and kissed her face all over "I've missed you so much." I tried to be gentle with her but I couldn't contain my excitement, she was alive. She was going to be okay.

"Mommy, how long was I asleep?" I shook my head and smiled sadly

"Quite a long time but your okay now. Your all better." She smiled

"Can I have a drink please?" I nodded

"Anything for you." I pinched her nose lightly which caused her to giggle. I couldn't help it, I stared at her as she laughed. It truly hit me that she was going to be okay. I had heard her laugh again and I couldn't of been happier.

When I finally composed myself I walked out of the room and went to get her water.

"Rose? You look happy! Is Elena okay." A happy tear escaped my eye as soon as Lissa mentioned Elena

"She's awake!" Lissa screamed and jumped up and down

"I'll go and tell the doctors, I'm so happy Rose! She's going to be okay!" Lissa ran in the opposite direction while I went to go get her some water.

When I got back the doctor was in Elenas room doing some checks on her.

"Guardian Hathaway" he said "Elena is doing fine, the time that she was asleep was plenty of time for her head to fully heal." He looked over at Lissa "princess I think you might have something o do with that aswell!" Lissa ducked her head in shame "but anyway, she's free to go in two days, we want to keep her for observation." I smiled

"Thankyou doctor, for everything." I handed Elena the water and she drank it all. The doctor walked out and was replaced by two new people; Christian and Dimitri

"Elena, your awake." Gasped Christian, he looked over at me and smiled "I'm so happy for you Rose." I nodded

"And me. I have all I could ever want. Almost." I looked over at Dimitri slightly when I said this. I didn't mean to but the words just came out.

Before anyone could say anything else he asked to speak to Lissa outside.

When Dimitri asked to speak to me I had just finished in Roses head, I had witnessed the previous conversation between her and Dimitri, he was so cruel to her. I knew that it hurt her so bad.

"Princess, I have come to ask for a few days off. I have already asked the head guardian and they will finalise it if you will." I bit my lip nervously, I knew my next question was a bit personal but I needed to no

"Can I ask what for?" He nodded his head

"Of course, my family are over from Russia and I would like to spend a day with them before they go back."

"Of course." I said "I'll let the head guardians no so I can have a temporary guardian while your away."

"I'll only be having one day off, princess, then I'll be straight back to work."
