My body longed to be with Rose, after 4 long years without her I needed to hold her, kiss her. I knew 100% that Rose was telling the truth about Elena being my child, which made it 1000 times worse that I wasn't there. I had been raised to treat women correctly, my behaviour ( weather under compulsion or not ) had been cruel and unkind. No wonder my family were disappointed.

I needed to escape the house I was in with Tasha and run to Rose, I didn't care that it was almost 2 o'clock in the night (vampire schedule) I just felt like she needed to hear the truth.

Before I knew what I was doing, I had ran out of the house. Leaving behind a very unhappy Tasha! I ran as fast as my legs could take me to Lissas, I needed to know where Rose was staying.

I knocked on the door as loud as I could in hope that I would wake them. I would have to apologise tomorrow! A tired, very pissed off, looking Lissa opened the door

"Dimitri...?" She asked "do you have any idea what time it is?"

"I'm sorry Vasilisa! But I need to no where Rose is, you have the bond now, you can tell me...right?" Lissa shook her head and a very sad expression took over her face

"Rose is gone." Is all she said "Her and Elena left half an hour ago to catch a plan." My eyes widened

"She can't leave, I have to tell her!" I was so angry, angry that Tasha had done this to me. I was also angry that Rose had left, why would she leave Lissa?

"Tell her what?" She asked warily.

"Tell her that I believe her, I haven't got much time so I'll explain after. Lissa please help me find her, tell me when her flight is and I'll get into my car and drive down to stop her. She needs to no I love her." Lissa stood gaping at me

"You believe her? I thought....What happened to change your mind?"

"I realised something." Lissa ran inside and left me on her doorstep, several seconds later she returned with her coat

"I'm coming aswell, I can use the bond to give you regular updates of her whereabouts. I can't guarantee that she'll want to come back but she needs to no. She left because she didn't want to see you and Tasha together, she couldn't handle it. Maybe this will change her mind." I knew Lissa needed some explanation as to why I had left Rose and I decided that this was a good of a time as any

"Princess, I thought you should no why I left." Lissa started to protest but I needed to say this "Tasha had a compulsion spell. It amplified her ability to use compulsion, I believed I loved her, when in fact I loved Rose. I still do."

Lissa nodded "you hurt her, weather you meant to or not, she got hurt and you have a lot to make up for. I can't believe Tasha did that, how could she control you that way?" I shook my head

"She didn't make me do anything, it was my choice to leave, she just kept reminding me that I 'loved' her. She didn't control my actions or words, they were all my own." Lissa looked confused

"But the conversation you had with Rose when you told her you had moved on?" I raised my eyebrows

"What conversation?" I asked.

"When Elena was in the infirmary, I was in her head when it happened. It must of been the compulsion, she saw you, I saw you." I saw something mentally click in Lissas head "oh god, Tashas charm was stronger than we thought. She disguised herself with Spirit to look like you." I shook my head

"But Tashas a fire user?" Lissa nodded

"She is. But Adrian isn't."
