After me and Lissa composed ourselves I decided that I wanted to have a chat with her about the Dimitri situation. I wanted to know why he was here.

"Liss, before we go in, can I ask something?" Lissa nodded her head

"Sure anything."

"Why is Dimitri back? You didn't make him come did you?" Lissa shook her head

"No of course not, I would never do that to you. Tasha found out that I didn't have a full time guardian off Christian and she arranged for Dimitri to be transferred to me and she would move to the security of court where she wouldn't really need a guardian. I wanted to tell you Rose but i didn't no when was a good time." I nodded my head in understanding and lightly squeezed her hand

"It's okay."

After our chat we went back into Elena and Christian who were laughing and giggling like nothing was happening. This set me off again, Lissa excused herself and Christian so I could have some time with my daughter. I sat next to Elena on the bed and held her as close to me as possible.

Do you ever get the feeling that your in a dream but you know your not because it feels too real? That's how I felt. I was hopeless against her brain tumour, I felt like I just had to sit back and watch her die. I knew I needed to think positive but never had I been in this situation, I didn't no the outcome, all I could think about was her death.

I must have fallen to sleep because when I woke up the doctor entered and told me he needed to talk to me about Elena.

He took me to a private office to have a chat

"Guardian Hathaway, we may be able to stop this tumour and save your little girl." My face lit up waiting for him tto explain "We would be able to do surgery here to remove the tumour, as long as you agree?"

"Yes" I said immediately "save her." I said. I didn't need to think about it, I would do anything to save her.

"I do have to warn you about the possible effects of surgery though. Sometimes when we preform this kind of surgery the patient doesn't wake up afterwards. This has never happened before at court but it's always a possibility, I have to tell you." I nodded my head

"I trust that you'll do everything you can to help her?" He nodded his head

"Of course." That's all I needed to hear.

"Then save my Elena." The doctor walked away after explaining the surgery. He said it would be preformed the next day and would take 4 hours, Elena would stay in hospital for a week after that and would be on anaesthetic and wouldn't be awake for the surgery. He also told me that she would be under the best care available. She would be able to leave the hospital after a week and should be on bed rest for at least 3 weeks because she is so young.

I couldn't believe she was going to have a surgery that could possible save or end her life.

I decided that if she was going to die she would at least get to meet her father. I was going to tell him, today.
