Chapter 48- High School Hell. (Part One)
This is the day that everyone was dreading.
Most importantly, this is the day I was dreading. I groaned and stabbed my pancake breakfast. A chuckle came from behind me.
"Stop being such a pain in the ass Zara," James joked.
"I hate high schools," I cried. He laughed and sat down next to me.
"It'll be fine Zara," he reassured me, "I've been going here for...what five years, and it's not all that bad. You just have to listen to all the teachers and do your homework," he continued in a playful manner. I rolled my eyes at him before I felt a pair of arms around my waist.
"Will you quit complaining already?" Lucas grumbled "gosh you're making me not want to go to this hellhole even more." I laughed and spun around giving him a hug.
"You and me both, bro," I mumbled to him making us both laugh as I stepped away from him. I looked over Lucas' shoulder and saw Hayden standing there leaning against the wall. I made my way over to him and he smirked at me.
"What?"
"It's amazing how you just come to me, even when I don't call you," Hayden said confidently.
I rolled my eyes at him, "and it's amazing how you can get sent to sleep in your office tonight with that attitude." He laughed and wrapped his arms around me pulling me closer to his chest.
"My apologizes your highness," he whispered in my ear. I wrapped my arms around his neck and connected my lips to his.
"Oi, lovebirds, brother still in the room," Lucas interrupted. Hayden sighed and pulled away from me.
"You know," Hayden started, "I can have you removed from my property, Ferrari."
"Which Ferrari?" Lucas smirked at him.
"You of all people should know I'm not talking about your sister," Hayden told him before quickly pecking my lips again, "let's go guys. We're gonna be late!" Shuffles came downstairs and we all went outside. A few people that I saw at the introduction party were there waving or bowing respectfully as Hayden and I passed them to get to the cars. Even as a child, I didn't like the whole 'bowing-to-your-Alpha' think. It just looks...weird.
We all chatted easily in the car as we pulled up in the 'school'. Well, it looked pretty decent. The building itself was huge and there were students crowding the parking lot. As soon as we entered the parking lot, the crowd cleared and made way. I looked over at Hayden, not really surprised.
"Again I say, being Alpha has its perks," Hayden said feeling my intense stare. Wow, so he basically gets treated like royalty here. I got my stuff and was about to unbuckle my seatbelt but Hayden's voice stopped me.
"Hey, can't I help my mate get out of the car on her first day?" he rhetorically asked, "I do enjoy making an entrance." I laughed and shrugged my shoulders. He grinned and walked around to my side of the car, opening the door and holding his arm out for me. I rolled my eyes at his stupidity but went along with his 'act' none the less. When I stepped out the car, I heard small gasps all over the place. Wow, I'm guessing Hayden is Mr. Popular here...I mean, all the attention is on him.
"Told you it would make a great entrance," he whispered in my ear closing the car door behind me. I nodded and looked around the parking lot where everyone was. All conversations stopped and they just looked at us...
