Chapter 54 - I'm Trying To Save You

Two Months Later...

Hayden's POV

"I don't want any f*cking excuses! We will find her!" I shouted at them all. They nodded respectfully before walking away in fear. It been a month since I talked to Lucas to find out the whereabouts of either Drake or Zara, but no results came from that. I've spent night and day searching for her.

I can't give up on her. I just can't.

Even my wolf feels restless. Since I mated with Miley...that still sounds wrong but...ever since then, my wolf has shown only five emotions: anger, sadness, depression, pain and worry. Ever second of the day we were both worrying about her, if she was being with...Drake. I could feel them doing it, and believe me it hurt like a b!tch. Oh, you can add jealousy to the list of emotions. 

"Alpha---"

"Have you found anything?" I interrupted Conner. He sighed and I thought he was going to give me some more bad news but his lips formed a small smile.

"There's a trail," 

My head shot up to look at him immediately, "A trail? Are you sure?" 

"Positive, we caught her scent. It seems like it's been there from two weeks ago. I don't think she ran away, she was kidnapped."

 Zara's POV 

I was peacefully sitting on the beach. I could see the gentle tug of the waves as they touched the shore and the wind swished through my hair. Everything was perfect. This is exactly how things should be.

"Mommy, mommy!" Hera shouted as she ran up to me. A smile instantly formed on my face.

"Hello, my beautiful angel. How was the water?" I asked her.

"It was so warm and nice, mommy but Daddy was being mean," she ended the sentence with a cute little pout on her lips. 

"Aww, what did Daddy do now?" I asked her as I playfully glared at Hayden who was standing a few steps behind her.

"He and Zayden kept dunking me in the water,"

"Now is that the truth, pumpkin?" Hayden voiced as he lifted Hera from behind and flipped her in the air. She squealed loudly and screamed for him to let her go. 

"Not until you tell Mommy what really happened," by now, he had Hera upside down and she was making faces like she wanted to puke.

"Hayden, put her down," I said laughing at the pair. He grinned at me then flipped her to the ground.

"Go play with your brother," Hayden told her giving her a kiss on her cheek. 

"But I wanna play with you some more, Daddy," again with a pout that no one could refuse. Hayden sighed then poked her in her stomach.

"Well, give me a minute with Mommy then we can play some more, ok," he said, "we can probably go for some ice cream afterwards." She screamed in excitement then ran over to her brother. Hayden leaned over and passionately kissed me. Even after all the years, he still had my heart going through a frenzy.
