Chapter 24- The Big Date (Part 2)

Recap:

After we danced, Hayden announced that we had to leave so we were on the road again...sadly. We were on a road directly south from where we were coming from so we were going further away from where we lived.

"Hayden, will you tell me where we are going?"

"Do I even have to answer that?" he answered back sarcastically. I grumbled unhappily and looked out the window.

"How much time is it this time?"

"Not much," he said, "as a matter of fact, we're here."

 I looked through the front glass and saw that we were turning into the Parker Palm Springs. It looked pretty luxurious so I'm guessing it's making lots of money. Then I saw couples with luggage exiting.

"Is this a hotel?" I asked Hayden.

"Yep," he said popping the p.

"And we're staying here?" I asked again and once again he said yes, "you're just full of surprises, huh?"

"It's run in the family," he said then winked at me. We parked (well, Hayden being Hayden had someone park the car for him) and then we went to the front desk to check in.

"Hey, I have a reservation," Hayden said to the receptionist at the front desk. She looked up and smiled at him.

"Oh, and what's your name handsome?" she replied.

"Pierce, Hayden Pierce," he said to her and crossed my arms.

"Ok, Mr. Pierce someone will bring your bags up momentarily," she said. He smiled politely at her then she gave him the room key and we walked to the elevator.

"Don't be jealous, babe. I wasn't flirting with her," Hayden said to her. I scoffed and looked away from him.

"Whatever,"

"Oh come on Zara, I wouldn't flirt with her when the most beautiful girl is standing near me," he said as we entered the elevator. I rolled my eyes and tried not to smile.

"Let me guess, you chose the penthouse?" I asked skeptically.

"You know me too well," he stated and looped his arm around my waist, leading us out the elevator. We walked to the room and when he opened the double doors, we came into view of the living room. It was beautifully decorated with rugs and carpets that I've never seen in my life. The designs were so native, so beautiful. The walls were painted in cream while the rugs were matching. What brought out the color in the room though was the red fabric design hanging on the wall behind the brown leather couch. There was a coffee table before it with African looking chairs on both sides. And in front of that was a huge plasma screen TV.

"This looks," I paused, "beautiful."

"Yeah, it does," Hayden agreed, "how about we go and look at the bedroom?"

"First date and you already want to lead me to the bedroom, Mr. Pierce? What kind of impression are you trying to make," I teased.

"I like the way my name sounds coming from your lips," he said wrapping his arm around my waist.
