Sarah's P.O.V.

I take in the horses and give them an early feed. I'm dressed in a pair of G.A.A. shorts and a light, breathable t-shirt and red and black Asics. This is my first training session in a long time. I just couldn't face my friends after my mothers death. I let out a long sigh as I take Glic in. She takes in a breath and gives a long sigh too. I chuckle. I wonder why she's not a confident jumper. She just gallops into the jump out of control. I wonder if it was the way she was treated. Scooter walks behind me. I don't have a hold of her. She follows me like a 15hh dog. It's funny when you have a connection between yourself and an animal ten times the size and weight of you. Scooter walks patiently into her stable and tucks into her hot mash. I hear my phone ringing. I pick up the phone and I see my cousin's name on the screen. I press the answer button. ''Hey Luke!''. I say. ''Hey Sarah! How are you? I'm going rugby training. I'd be able to drop you down and bring you home if you like? It will save you from driving''. He asks. ''Yeah sure that will be great! Thanks Luke! See ya in a bit!''. I thank. ''No bother! See ya in bit!''. He answers. I press the hang up button. I remember when I was younger, Luke and I were very close. We were 'little messers' back in our youth days. I remember we tried to paint our granddad's shed green. I've always wondered why? I guess we just wanted to make him happy and proud of us. Well it did the opposite. He went crazy! My mother came out looking for us. She heard us in the shed and when she entered she started to laugh her head off. Granddad came out and he went crazy! Oh man! Luke and I ran into the house and we hid in my room for the rest of the day. I came back from thinking about the old days. I noticed a tear flowing down my cheek. I wipe it. Lets hope I don't fall apart during training. I'm on the Na Fianna (Na Feena) Senior Camogie (Camo- gee) Team. It's a big club. I've been playing and supporting them since I was ten. I'm nineteen now. God! Time flies by. We won a few finals. I hear the rumble of Luke's black Audi driving down the drive. I grab my gear bag that is packed with my hurl, helmet and football boots. I hop in the car. ''Hey Luke!''. I say as I fasten my seatbelt. ''Hey Sarah!''. He says friendly. I look at him. He really looks different. Like his dad. He has his fathers brown hair that is a brown-black. It is short and spiky. He has his fathers dark blue, bright eyes. He is more muscular than his dad though. He is in his shorts and a blue Leinster t-shirt. ''How's thing at home?''. I ask him. ''Grand. Not much has been going in since... you know''. He says looking ahead at the road. ''Yeah. It's been pretty quiet''. I say. Luke nods his head as he looks ahead. He's a very confident driver. ''Who are you training with?''. I ask him. ''The North Kildares. Still''. He answers. ''Are you able to collect me?''. I ask him. ''Yeah. I'm going to leave early. I have to mind Alex''. He answers. Oh yeah! Alex. His little sister. ''Ok thanks''. I say. It became quiet in the car.

We drive slowly through the gates of the pitch. I hop out of Luke's car. ''Thanks Luke! See ya in a bit!''. I say. ''Yeah sure! Enjoy!''. He answers. I close the door and wave him goodbye. I look around the pitch. There is kids and teenagers running and having the time of their lives. I see the club house. I walk to the clubhouse. I look in from the door. I see all of the girl's senior camogie team. I see my ild school friends. They see me and they stare at me for a matter of seconds and before I know it, I'm being squashed to death by hugs from them. ''Hey guys!''. I say grinning. ''It's so good to see you Sarah! It has been so long!''. Leah says excited. Leah is a very tall girl. She has big bright brown eyes that shine. She has straight brown- black hair that flows down to over her waist. She has a slightly darker skin tone than me. She has a smile that will make you want to smile back. ''Yeah! The whole team was lost without you!''. My other friend Eimear (Ee-mer) says. Eimear has hazel-brown eyes. They shine very bright. Not as bright as Leah's though. Eimear has short straight, red hair, that is only shoulder lenght. The two girls smile at me. I smile back. I haven't seen them since my mother's funeral. I just locked them out. The two girls look at each other and then back at me. ''Come on! Lets get ready for training!''. Leah says. I walk into the dressing room and I put on my football boots and secure my helmet. I grab my hurl and jog out of the dressing rooms and onto the green.

We sprint against each other. A duel. Myself and another team mate race for the sliotar. We both blow steam. I race in front of her and scoop up the small ball with the head of my hurl. I catch it in my hand and I hit the ball down the pitch to Leah, who is calling for the ball. Leah catches it and she sends into the net like it was too easy for. Our trainer blows the whistle. Training is over. ''Okay everyone in! Well done guys! We have it this year! We are now faster, stronger and better! Before we go I would like to welcome Sarah back!''. He shouts as he looks at me. Everyone claps. They all pat me on the back. It feels good to back on the pitch.
