Chapter 5

*First person pov*

We finally made it to the sand village. Come to think of it, this is the first time I go to the sand village. I look around the place. Of course, it's full of sand and SO FUCKING HOT!!! "IT'S HOT!!" I yell. "You'll get used to it." Temari says. I feel like I'm going to burn to death before I even start the mission to find Gaara... A guy runs up to us. "Temari-san, where were you!? We have been waiting! This way!!" The guy tells us. "Right!" Naruto yells. We run into the village. I gotta admit, the village was beautiful. I like sand styled homes ever since I set my eyes on it. The guy was explaining what happened but I didn't pay attention, since I was so engrossed into looking at the buildings. "...But the Kazekage was abducted... after that, Kankuro pursued them, but he was wounded." The guy explains. "What?! They got Kankuro too!?" Temari yells. "Yes, he was caught by the enemy's poison. And we have no way to neutralize it... at this rate, he has half a day at most." The guy tells us. Temari was shocked at the news as well as everybody else. She curses under breath, trying to figure out a solution. I probably would if it was Eric. Come to think of it, how is he? Argh, not the time! "Let's hurry, Temari-san. I'll examine him!" Pinky announces. I turn to look at Pinky. "We're counting on you!" I tell her. She nods and we run into the hospital. We made it to the room where Kankuro is and Temari and Pinky bursts into the room. Everybody in that room turns to look at them. Me, Naruto, Keiko, and Kakashi were just poking our heads in the room. Chiyo looks at Kakashi and hatred flares in her eyes. "The white fang of Konoha!" Chiyo yells as she tries to attack Kakashi. Me and Naruto were the first ones to react. I catch her leg and Naruto catches her fist. Chiyo jumps back, sliding. Everybody was shocked by her sudden actions. "Why are you going at Kakashi-sensei so suddenly for!? You wrinkled old hag!" Naruto yells. "I remember that time... That white fang of Konoha! My son's enemy... I will get my revenge for him today!!" Chiyo yells. "Hey, calm your wrinkly old ass down." I say, trying to calm things down. "Yeah, I'm not-" "There's no use arguing!!" Chiyo cuts Kakashi off. She tries to run at Kakashi again but Ebizo...? I think that's his name..? Stops her. "Sister... take a good look. There's a strong resemblance, but he isn't the white fang of Konoha." Ebizo says. Chiyo takes a real good look at Kakashi and laughs. "GYAHAHAHA! NO WAAAAAY!! I WAS PRETENDING TO BE STUPID!! GYAHAHAHA!!" Chiyo yells, trying to laugh it off. Me and Keiko sweat drop. Then I realized something. "Hey, before Pinky can operate on Kankuro, can I try something? I swear on my life that this won't harm him." I tell everybody here. Temari steps up. "How do you know? Is it medical ninjutsu?" Temari asks, probably not trusting me with Kankuro's life. "You can say that." I say as I walk around her so I can perform it. I do a few hand signs and hover my hands over Kankuro. "Raise!!" I shout as a green light covers my hands and Kankuro. Poison seeps out Kankuro's pores. I take a sample of the poison. "Okay, he is cured. I would suggest you take this poison and make an antidote for it so it doesn't happen again." I tell them. Temari falls to her knees and exhales out of relief. "Thank you Ciel..." She thanks. "Aw-Awesome..." Pinky says. I hand her the poison. "I think you're the best person here to make the antidote. Go gather some herbs or something, I don't know about this stuff. I cured him out of pure luck." I say, rubbing my head in embarrassment. Pinky nods and leaves, with a few medical nins. "Wait, was Kankuro a test?" Temari asks, pissed. "Uhh.... I'm going to be honest.... yes.... yes I did." I say slowly, not wanting to face the wrath of the oldest sibling. She sighs. "I'm not mad... as long as Kankuro is now safe..." Temari says. "Right! We're not going to be slow! Let's go right after the Akatsuki!!" Naruto announces. "Idiot! How are we supposed to go after the Akatsuki if we don't have anything to go off of!? And we need Pinky!" Keiko scolds. "Well, as soon as Sakura-chan is done with that, let's get going!" Naruto shouts, stretching. "Naruto, hold on a bit." Kakashi says as he turns to a sand jounin. If I remember correctly, he is the sand siblings's sensei. "Um... excuse me, there is something I want to ask you. What came of the pursuit of the Akatsuki after that?" Kakashi asks. "Kankuro went after them alone. There was no others." The Sand shinobi says. "Yes we have..." The shinobi says, ashamed. "Hmm... well, could you please guide me to where Kankuro-kun was fighting? Though I might not seem like it, I am an expert at pursuit. Even if a small amount of their scent is left behind...." Kakashi trails off. "That's not necessary." I hear a voice say behind me. Kankuro was sitting up normally. Chiyo was fretting about how he shouldn't sit like that and he hasn't recovered yet. "Oh, he's fine. The jutsu I used on him not only cured him, but removed all effects on the target's body." I tell her. Chiyo checks Kankuro and was shocked. "You're right... this surpasses the slug girl..." Chiyo says. "Hm? Ya mean Tsunade? Sure, my medical ninjutsu ability surpasses her's but I don't specialize in it. Pinky, she is an apprentice of Tsunade. She has more potential than me, to be honest. Besides, she needs this, because she never really helps us in battle we just kinda take over. I want her to feel like she is part of the battle and useful." I tell Chiyo. "But you can save many people... do you really want to waste this?" Chiyo asks. "It may be selfish of me, but it's not what I want to do. I don't really like poking around someone's insides or whatever. I'm very squeamish. Pinky is the best at this. Now, Kankuro. Tell us why we don't need to go to the site where you battled." I turn to Kankuro. "Right." Kankuro turns to us. "There are two enemies. One abducted Gaara... you should follow Gaara's scent. Even assuming they split up, the other caught a bit of their clothing on Karasu's hand." Kankuro tells us. "Making a success from failure... you are indeed a shinobi of Sand." Kakashi comments. "Kankuro, are you okay?" Temari asks, going to Kankuro's side. "Yeah, it feels like I never been poisoned in the first place, thanks to Ciel." Kankuro says. "Oh stahp it, you're goin to make me blush." I say, in a girly voice. Kankuro eyes us for a second, creepy. "Kankuro, are you absolutely sure that the one of the two you followed is Sasori?" Chiyo asks Kankuro. "Chiyo-baasama!? Ebizo-jiisama!?" Kankuro yells, surprised. "What about that, Kankuro." Ebizo asks. Kankuro stays silent for a moment. "Yeah... It was Sasori of Red Sand... he said it himself..." Kankuro answers finally. Chiyo looked sorrowful and looks at the vial of poison that I collected. Pinky came in the room with an antidote. "I have the antidote!" Pinky announces, holding up some kind of liquid. She runs over to Kankuro and starts shoving the antidote down his throat. "Here! Drink up!" Pinky says. Kankuro chokes on the antidote. "Pinky! Ciel already cured him! He doesn't need the antidote!" Keiko yells. Pinky stops and blushes out of embarrassment. "Sorry..." She mumbles as she backs off. "Alright! We are all here, let's hurry!" Naruto announces as he puts on his backpack on. I get ready as well. Kankuro looked like to be in deep thought. He finally looks at us. "Uzumaki Naruto... Heartfilia Ciel... Please save my brother." Kankuro pleads. Me and Naruto smile. "Leave it all to us! Because I will become Hokage someday too! So I'll secure an advance favor from Kazekage!" Naruto says. We leave the hospital to start our mission to find Gaara. "If you wait a little, we can have skilled ninjas here too. I'm going too!" Temari says. "Temari, stay here and work on the defense of country border." a voice says behind us. We look up and see Chiyo on the roof of the building. "From the shinobi of Sand, I am more than enough." Chiyo says. "But! Chiyo-baasama!" Temari yells. "That would be too much for you..." a sand shinobi says beside us. "Don't treat me like an old woman!!" Chiyo yells as she jumps off the building. "She jumped!" Naruto yells surprised. She lands on the ground in front of Pinky and Naruto, surprising both of them. "I've wanted to give my cute grandson some love for a while now." Chiyo says. I start stretching before I move. "Alright, we're assembled. Let's go!"
