*First person pov*

I turn and smiled at Inari and Tazuna. "I never thought I'd see you heroes again, Naruto!" Inari said, as he wiped the sweat off of his face with the towel on his shoulder. "Are you..." Pinky trailed off. I noticed my hat on Inari's head. "I see you've kept my hat safe, huh Inari?" I said, chuckling. Naruto finally came to realization and jumped up. "Inari and Tazuna!" Naruto said, happy. Inari took off the hat on his head. "We promised the next time we see each other that I would give back your hat, right? I kept it safe." Inari said as he held it out. "Well... you looked good in that hat. Keep it, will ya?" I said, nodding at how great the idea I just suggested. Inari's eyes glimmered then nodded. "Yeah!" Inari said then putting the cap back on his head. "Inari, you're all grown up! And you look even older, gramps!" Naruto said cheerfully. "Give me a break..." Tazuna said and I laughed lightly. "Yeah, bullying an old man, what's wrong with you Naruto?" Keiko asked Naruto, narrowing her eyes at Naruto. "Keiko, I'm this close to punting you like a football." I said, glaring at her. "I'm a carpenter now, and we're here to rebuild Konoha. I thought I'd come here and say hi to you guys while I'm here." Inari said before turning to Pinky, with a light blush on his face. "You look so pretty Sakura." Inari compliments. Pinky blushes and put a strand of hair behind her ear. "Oh... really?" Pinky said. Tazuna then bows. "...I'm sorry about what happened with Gato... But thanks to you, the Land of Waves is a prosperous nation now." Tazuna thanks. "Yeah! So it's our turn to help you out!" Inari said, smiling. Naruto rubs the back of his neck sheepishly. "Inari... Thanks!" Naruto said. I spot Kakashi rounding the corner. "Huh? Oh, you're here already?" Kakashi said as he walked over to us. "Hey Kakashi! We came as we heard Konoha was in trouble!" Tazuna told Kakashi. "I see..." Tazuna had a look of confusion on his face. "What is it? If there's anything you need, let me know." Kakashi reassures. "Where's Sasuke? I wanted to talk to him, too." Tazuna and you can just tell the mood went from happy, to sadness. I look down at Keiko, and she looked back up at me. Pinky looked upset, well, we probably all did. But Pinky was probably the most upset, she really did love Duckbutt, even though she deserves better than that prick. "Uhh... the thing is... Sasuke's... uh..." Kakashi stutters, not knowing what to say. "Sasuke... and I had a fight, so he left the village for a while." Naruto said, putting his hands behind his head then grinning. "But I'll bring him back soon! You can say hi when he gets back! I'm sure Sasuke'd love to see you again, right? Sakura, Ciel, Keiko?" Naruto asked. "Y-Yeah..." Pinky said while me and Keiko nodded. "What was the trouble? Some sort of love triangle? Quadangle?" Tazuna asked and Naruto laughed. "Of course not!" Naruto said. We talked for a while before they went back to work. I wave goodbye, smiling as well as Naruto. Naruto brings down his hand slowly, a sorrowful look etching onto his face. "I understand now... how Sasuke felt.... I know what revenge is." Naruto said, looking down at the ground. "I thought I understood him... But I really didn't. No wonder nothing I said to him got through." Naruto said, with a guilty look on his face. "Naruto..." Pinky trailed off. "If I can't understand his pain, then I can't laugh with him. No wonder he wouldn't even fight with me.... It might hurt a lot, but I want to fight him for real this time. 'Cause I want team 7 to laugh together again, Sasuke included!" Naruto said, smiling. We all smile back at Naruto but Keiko scowls. "Bullshit. After what you've done to Ciel, can we even consider you our teammate?" Keiko growls at Naruto. "Keiko." I said sternly. Naruto frowns and looks at Keiko. "Keiko, what happened? Ever since Konoha was destroyed by the Akatsuki, you've been cold to me." Naruto asked Keiko. "What happened? WHAT HAPPENED!? I'LL TELL YOU WHAT HAPPENED!! YOU KIL-" "KEIKO I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU SAY ANYMORE I WILL KILL YOU MYSELF!" I cut Keiko off, shouting. Kakashi narrowed his eye at me. I haven't told Kakashi "Ciel, stop, let Keiko speak. Keiko, what were you about to say." Kakashi said, looking at Keiko. Naruto looked shocked at what's going on. "Naruto kil-" "Not a fucking word. Now isn't the time to tell Naruto what happened, or anybody else. We need a Hokage." I said, glaring at her. "I don't give two shits! Everyone needs to know what Naruto did to you!" Keiko yelled, glaring at me then Naruto. "Ciel, I think Keiko is right. Naruto should know, what good is it going to do if you don't say anything?" Pinky said, stepping up. I run a hand through my pink hair in frustration. "You guys, don't you understand? Naruto is too fragile to face the truth... and too strong to let it go. We can't tell him right now, let's wait until Tsunade wakes up." I suggested, trying to get them onboard with me. Naruto turns to me, but I avoid his eyes. "...What are you guys trying to say...? What are you keeping from me?" Naruto asked me, looking at me with serious eyes. "Ciel. Look at me." Naruto said, and I flinched. "You haven't looked at me in the eye since Pein... Please, tell me what happened." Naruto said, worried. "Nothing happened, they're just making this little thing a huge deal." I grit through my teeth, avoiding Naruto's eyes still. "Then look at me in the eyes." Naruto said firmly. When the hell did Naruto become so observant... I slowly brought myself to look at Naruto in the eyes. Again, the memory flashes in my mind of Naruto tearing me apart, and I looked away quickly as I held my head. "God... I don't give a shit anymore... Do whatever you want, I'm just trying to spare Naruto's feelings." I said as I gave Keiko to Pinky then walked away, shoving my hands in my pockets, scowling at the ground. Ciel... I really do think it was for the best if you told Naruto. I don't want anyone worrying about me... Especially Naruto. This is some hard times for Naruto... First Ero-sennin, then me, and now Tsunade? It won't help that Naruto is going to receive the news that Danzo bastard is going to become the new Hokage and will label Duckbutt as a mission nin. But if he really wants to know then that's his loss. Okay... So, how do ya feel about Danzo being the new Hokage? He's a prick. There's not much to say other than that. I spot Sai coming out of a tent, so I walked over to him. "Yo Sai! What's up?" I asked him as I walk beside him. "The sky, the birds, and the clouds." Sai answered, smiling and I laughed. "So literal, I meant going on with you. Did anything happen in particular?" I asked him, grinning. "Not really... Hey, where is that cat? She's always with you." Sai asked me. "Keiko? Well.... I suppose you can say we got into a little fight.... But it'll resolve over time, that is, if there is any time. Everything just seems so busy, trying to rebuild Konoha from scratch all over again." I said, sighing. "Hey, if you don't mind me asking... What did you have an argument over with Keiko-san?" Sai asked me, curious. I stay silent for a moment, thinking if I should tell him or not. I decided to keep my answer very vague. "I can't really tell you the whole thing, but it was about Naruto. We were arguing over if we should tell him the truth or not." I said. "Truth?" Sai asked me. "Aye. I opposed it because, well I don't think Naruto could handle the truth, but Keiko said otherwise. She hated Naruto for what he's done to me and wants to let his oblivious ass know what happened and repent. I already forgiven Naruto, but it seems like that won't do." I said, Saing (Lol I had to.). "What did Naruto-kun do to you?" Sai asked me. I looked down at the gravel beneath my feet. "I trust you Sai, but you're still a comrade of Danzo. I don't trust him, and I don't know if he's going to force it out of you... so let's just drop it." I said, looking at him. He nods. "I understand. I don't trust Danzo myself after these few months." Sai said agreeing. I see a little ball of white fur in the bushes. I squint to see Keiko. "You can go without me Sai, I'll be there in a second." I said as I run over to the bushes. Sai nods and went on his way. "Keiko, why are you here?" I asked her. She had guilt etched on her face. "I... We, Pinky and I, told Naruto and Kakashi the truth... Kakashi was a little upset but that was nothing compared to Naruto's reaction.... Oh god, you were right... I feel so bad now..." Keiko said, looking down. "...What did Naruto say? Or rather... what was his reaction?" I asked her, worried. "He... He started crying. He just didn't say anything... just silent tears streaming down his face. And the look on his face... oh my god.... Remind me again why I was angry at him...? Everything was said in that expression. When he finally spoke... He said he should just go and die. Pinky tried to calm him down... but it seem like Naruto wasn't that convinced. It didn't help that Kiba came and told us very bad news.... Ciel, they've dismissed Tsunade from Hokage and Danzo became the New Hokage. And... And..." Keiko started crying. "He labeled Duckbutt as a missing nin! Anyone who comes across him is to kill him on sight!" Keiko said, crying. "Calm down... I already knew." I said, sad. "You...You did?" Keiko asked, wiping her tears. "Yeah. I did read the manga." I said and she looked down. "Oh..." Keiko said and I nodded. "Keiko, I-" "EEEK!" "Sakura!" I turned to the shouts. "Keiko, let's go!" I shout as I picked her up. "Aye!" Keiko shouts and we run towards the source of the yells.
