*First person pov*

"And why the hell am I a part of this?" I ask Shikamaru. It has a been a few days since my training, and apparently, Shikamaru came to me with a mission. We were heading to the Hokage building, though I really wanted to stay in the Hyuuga estate and train. He didn't tell me the details of the mission since he said Tsunade was going to explain it, but I want to continue training. Keiko was with me, but she didn't give a shit if she was going on a mission or not. "Because Tsunade-sama told me to get you, troublesome woman. Giving us a mission, how troublesome." Shikamaru complains. "And worst of all, it's with you." I drawl. Keiko snorts and Shikamaru looks at me. "Troublesome woman... what's your problem? You used to be cool, are you on your monthly... thing?" Shikamaru asks me. I scoff. "Oh hell nah. YOU touched my ass. We ain't even dating, so you don't have the privilege to touch me in THAT way. So that's basically harassment." I tell him, glaring at him. He groans. "You have a grudge over that?" Shikamaru asks me. "Yes. Apologize to me, you traumatized me. I cry." I say as I made the gesture of a single tear rolling down my cheek by brushing my finger down from my eye to my chin mockingly. He rolls his eyes and sighed. "Fine, I'm sorry." Shikamaru drawls. Keiko hisses. "Like you mean it, you don't touch Ciel ever again." Keiko growls at Shikamaru. "Fine! Ciel, I'm truly sorry for harassing you, is there any way to make it up to you?" Shikamaru says, surprisingly sounding sincere. Tell him to kiss the bottom of your shoe and be your butler for a whole entire week. Also call him Sebastian. Or maybe Claude... I don't know, they're both hot. "Nah, I just needed you to apologize, you being my friend is more than enough." I tell him. Dammit. Shikamaru winced when I said friend, wonder why. We made it to the Hokage building and on the roof, where a bunch of people were gathered. I just realized we were going to mission where Asuma dies and encounter the zombie duo. "Alright! I'll explain your mission." Tsunade says, appearing out of nowhere. I zoned out since I already knew the details. "Team 12, Nara Shikamaru, Sarutobi Asuma, Heartfilia Ciel, Heartfilia Keiko, Hagane Kotetsu, Kamizuki Izumo. That's all the teams." Tsunade says, snapping me from my fantasies about Levi. Then Tsunade kept adding things so I zoned out again. Hey, have you noticed that something doesn't belong, or rather, someone? Huh? What do you mea- I cut myself off when I knew what she meant. Everyone here was a chunin and up, why the hell am I here, when I am only a genin? "...And that's the end of briefing. Do any of you have any questions?" Tsunade asks and there was a silence. Nobody really had any questions, but Asuma had one. "What is it?" Tsunade asks Asuma. "Chiriku, a former member of the 'twelve shinobi guardsmen', should have been there too... What happened to him?" Asuma asks her, are more, the survivor. "Chiriku-sama is dead... By the hands of those two scoundrels." The guy tells Asuma. While Asuma went into shock mode, I raised my hand. "What is it Ciel?" Tsunade asks me. "Uhh, yeah, can you tell me why I am here? I can see that this place is full with chunin and up ninjas, while I am only a mere genin. Can you please enlighten me?" I ask her. "Shikamaru requested you to be put in his group, and I granted him that request because not only do I trust his judgement, but I believe that you are capable of handling this mission." Tsunade tells me. "But you do realize this might be a mistake?" Keiko pipes in. "While I'm aware of your case Ciel, I trust you that you can handle this. I can tell that if you were still in Konoha in the last 2 ½ years, you would have had the rank of jounin." Tsunade tells me. Really?! Damn!! If I stayed here, I would have gotten to my dream faster! "I understand now." Me and Keiko answer at the same time. "I would like to find out about their plans but, these guys are quite dangerous... In the event that capture becomes impossible, eradicate them. Don't let them out of the fire country, find them, no matter what! Go! You are dismissed!!" Tsunade yells as she makes the hand gesture to leave. I jump away with the other ninjas and met up with my group on a roof of building. "Well then, we'll start out search at the temple of fire!" Asuma announces. "Aye sir!"
