Chapter 23

*First person pov*

We were still walking. Leo went back since Keiko was awake and active. It was nighttime, and Yamato thought it was time to set up camp. "Mokuton: shichuuka no jutsu!" Yamato says as he weaved some hand signs. Ground crumbled revealing more wood, weaving and stacking to form a house. "We'll camp here for tonight!" Yamato called. "I wouldn't call this camping..." Pinky comments while staring at the house. "Well I like it! If you travel like this, consider me a part of your team!" Keiko says. I raise a hand. "Saaaame." I agree. We walk in and get unpacked. "Everyone, come here for a bit. And, Sakura, there's something I'd like you to tell me." Yamato says. I walk over with Keiko on my head and plopped myself around the lamp. "I got Sasori's file from the sand as a starter, but tell me about his behavior, characteristics, and habits. Because you're the only one who's ever seen Sasori." Yamato asks Pinky. "Why're you asking that?" Naruto asks Yamato. "The spy in Orochimaru's ranks will come to Tenchi bridge expecting Sasori. He might see through it right away, but it's best to transform into Sasori and approach him." Yamato explains. "Being a spy brings it's fair share of risks, so he will most likely be on his guards." Sai adds. "Just in case this is a trap set by the Akatsuki, I will go ahead alone first. You will be on standby for further instructions." Yamato tells us. "I remember there was a spy in sand, Yuura was his name? He said it that when he was about to die. I don't think he was lying." Keiko says. "Still, that spy, he must be extremely skillful." I state. "Let's do it." Naruto says, agreeing with the plan. "Right, now for the real problem. I've already told you the concrete plans for the mission up ahead. Our objective is purely capture. Under no circumstances must the target be killed. Even if it results in battle. If they are killed, we will have lost a valuable information source. This mission is more difficult than defeating the enemy. Given that it's a target mission, I'll be the first to go in. And you all will act as my backup. The strategy is simple. First, I'll restrain the target. Second, if I fail to restrain them and the battle situation arises, you will prepare to fight. I'll signal you in that case. And if we reach the situation as in part two, then we must fight in via buddy system. When one person moves, the other will look after them. The principle of the system is mutual support. Now... I'll decide on the buddies. First, Naruto and Sai. Second, Ciel and Keiko. Third, Sakura and myself." Yamato announces. Pinky glances at Naruto and back at Yamato. "But..." Pinky trails off. "Sakura, you are the only medical ninja. So that you are not injured yourself, I will be with you." Yamato explains. Naruto stares at Sai and Sai notices. "Hiya..." Sai says, fake smiling. "Yamato-taichou! Why the hell am I with..." Naruto yells, pointing at Sai. Yamato puts on his scary face yet again. "Pardon?" He asks. Naruto sweats and backs off. Yamato turns off the scary face and continues. "Keeping all that in mind, this isn't exactly normal but, tomorrow, we'll spend a day on simulation for team playing. I know nothing about all of you other than what's in your files. I'd like to know things like your fighting methods, your battle skills, and array of jutsu. And through getting to know each other, smoothen up your teamwork. You might think I'm being too serious, but that's how I do things.... so put your all into it. That's all I have to say, let's turn in for the night." Yamato says. We nod and went back to where our stuff was. I got out my sleeping bag and Keiko just dived in, leaving me no room for me to get in. "You serious?" I ask her. "Yup. I'm still upset you woke me up this morning, go sleep somewhere else." Keiko says, turning away from me. I can't believe she kicked me out of my own sleeping bag... I would have done the same if someone woke me up. Now where am I going to sleep? I look around the room and eye Naruto and his sleeping bag. "Uh... Ciel? Do you need something?" Naruto asks me. "Can I pwease sleep with you? Keiko kicked me out of my own sleeping bag." I told him. He sweat drops. "Why can't you just get Keiko to move? You spoil her too much." Naruto says. I huff. "I do not spoil her! I just don't want to mess with her sleep.... she is way too scary." I say, shuddering. Naruto sighs and moves so I can get in. "Come on." Naruto says. I cheer and slid in. Then felt the hair on my neck stand up. I shift to turn around and Yamato was glaring. Oh. I forgot he knew I was a girl. He must have his morals. "Ciel, why don't you go sleep with Sakura." Yamato orders. Naruto shoots up. "What!? No way!" Naruto shouts. Pinky blushes at the thought I was going to sleep with her, but I'm a girl... sometimes I wish I can just say I am a girl. Then I see a silhouette behind Yamato, I identified it to be Keiko since it was small. She presses a kunai to Yamato's throat. "Okay, let me make this clear so you guys don't fuck up in the future. If you mess with my sleep, my ship Cieruto, and Ciel, I will cut you." Keiko says menacingly. Yamato looked like he just shit his pants and nodded. Keiko, who was satisfied with Yamato's gesture, went back to MY sleeping bag to sleep. "Am I a horrible father? I didn't think Keiko would grow up to be so evil..." I trail off, slightly fearful. Naruto nods in agreement and lies back down to sleep. I lie down next to him and fall asleep.

Time skip~

I wake up to a sound that sounds like snapping, kinda. I stirr and open my eyes. I just noticed how close me and Naruto were and the position we were in. We were both hugging each other in our sleep. I'm not surprised, Naruto is known to hug things in his sleep and I'm used to hug Keiko in my sleep. I blush as I try to get out of his grip but it's iron strong. Another snap. I look up to the source and Keiko was flying above us. "This is good stuff..." She mumbles as she continues taking pictures. "Keiko! Help me!" I whisper to her. "No can do~! This is good ship and blackmail material, I'm not going to let this slip." She says as she snaps another photo. I groan in annoyance and struggle against Naruto. I decided it was not going to work, so I just tried to wake him up. "Hey! Wake up!" I whisper yell as I slap him lightly on the face. He groans and pulls me closer. "Ciel... I... Sorry..." Naruto mumbles in his sleep, gaining me and Keiko's interest. "I... Sorry.... Deluxe... Ramen... Eat..." Naruto says. Huh. So he was the one who ate my limited edition deluxe ramen. "Naruto! Wake your ass up!!" I shout again. He finally wakes up. "Ciel?" Naruto asks, squinting. We were waaaaaay too close for comfort. Our noses were literally touching. Naruto blushes and jumps out of the sleeping bag with a squeak. "C-C-C-Ciel! W-Why were we so close?!" Naruto shouts. I sit up and stretch my poor muscles. "You're the one who was hugging me, not me." I tell him as I stand up. I take notice of his face, it was really flushed."You're flushed." I tell him but he seems to be in deep thought.

Naruto pov*

Why am I blushing?! He's just a dude! Tenten's words ring out in my mind. "Are you two turning gay for Ciel?" What?! No!! I'm straight!! I like Sakura-chan believe it!! Maybe because I'm a little sick... Yeah! That's gotta be it. "Yo, you're really red. Are you sick?" He asks me as he puts his forehead against mine. Keiko was squealing and had a nosebleed. She had some kind of weird metal box thing and snapping sounds come from it.... Have I seen it before? Anyway, Ciel was waaaaay too close for comfort. I blushed again, then mentally cursing myself for it. "Hm, you don't seem sick so I think you're good. Though, check with Pinky just in case." Ciel tells me as he pulls away. Well shit, that idea went out the window. "Also, did you eat my limited edition deluxe ramen?" "...N-No..."
