Chapter 8

*First person pov*

Weasel shifts to point at us. "We'll kindly ask you to come with us now... Ciel-kun, Naruto-kun." Weasel tells us. "You'll have to face me first." Kakashi says as he runs at Weasel. Kakashi punches Weasel and he blocks. A shadow clone of Weasel runs past them and at us. Naruto uses Rasengan on Weasel and the clone disappears. Wait!!! Naruto was supposed to use Rasengan on the genjutsu he is seeing but in reality he is using rasengan on air, that means I'm in the genjutsu as well!!!!!! Shit!!! Pinky, Chiyo, and Keiko fall down on the ground groaning. The smoke from the clone disappears revealing Naruto, still standing and Kakashi, who was on the ground groaning as well. "Sa... Sakura-chan...." Naruto stutters. Pinky gets as well as Chiyo, revealing both of them to be Weasel. "Naruto, we're in genjutsu." I tell him as Keiko and Kakashi stands up to reveal, you guessed it, Weasel. Naruto pulls out kunais and throws it at all of us. I dodge the kunai that Naruto threw. "Whoah!!! Where are you aiming!? It's me!!" I yell at Naruto. All of the Weasels turn into crows and flies away. "How do I know that you are not genjutsu!?" Naruto yells. "Uhh.... remember our promises? Before we left the village a few years ago?"

Flashback~

I was packing my bags at my apartment, to depart on our 2 ½ year journey. All the Zodiac did their part and left. I was finishing packing up a few more things then I'm done. I hear a knock at the door. Keiko was too busy to get it and so was I. "Come in! It's open!!" I shout to the mysterious person at the door. I got a kunai ready in case it was kidnapper and wants to nibble on my toes. Not today. "If you don't mind!" I hear a voice shout. I identified it to be my majestic, wonderful, ramen fanatic of a best friend Naruto. "I finished packing and cleaning and I was thinking, I was thinking, maybe I can help you?" Naruto says as he enters my room. I hastily put away all of my feminine stuff before he can step through my door frame. "No! I'm good! I had some friends to help!!" I tell Naruto. I zip up my backpack and put it onto my shoulder. "Alright, let's go!" I say to Naruto. But for some reason, his focus was on something else. "What's this?" Naruto asks as he picks up my attack on titan plush, colossal titan. "It's my plush, don't judge. It's cute." I tell him, hands on my hips. Naruto stares at the plush with a sweat drop. "How is this cute? It's a skinless person." Naruto says. I swipe the plush out of Naruto's hands. "I said not to judge." I say as I hug it. Naruto shrugs and I put my plush in my backpack. I turn back to Naruto and he had a serious face on for some reason. "Ciel... do you think that we could have brought Sasuke back? You said yourself that you can look into the future, at that time, could you see the future where Sasuke came back? Could I have been able to bring him back?" Naruto asks, looking at the ground sorrowfully. I stay silent for a moment. "Hm... it depends. At the time, I couldn't find any futures where Duckbutt came back. It made me wonder why. I came to the conclusion that it wasn't the people we brought or who fought who, but the choices we made in the past. It's like the butterfly effect. But, I don't really regret the choices we made in the past, neither should you. What's done is done, but the question is, were you happy with the memories you made with Duckbutt?" I ask Naruto. He stays silent. "Yeah...." Naruto says, not meeting my eyes. "Then there is no reason to be sad. Yeah, Duckbutt left us, but he isn't dead. He is still under the same sky as us. Sure, he will die someday but that doesn't mean the bond will break. Bonds last forever, I'm sure that you know that." I say. Naruto stays silent still. I hold up my hand, all my fingers except my pinky was curled up. "Promise me that no matter how much pain we are put through, we will prevail and save Duckbutt no matter what the circumstances are, okay? Promise me that we die trying." I tell him with a confident smile on. He looks up at my pinky and my face. Cerulean blue eyes gaze clash against my turquoise eyes. He holds out his pinky and connects to mine. "Yeah, but do you mind if I add one more promise?" Naruto asks, his pinky still on mine. "Sure." I tell him. He takes a deep breath and exhales. "Promise me that we won't hold any secrets. Also... promise me that we stick together 'til the end of our time." Naruto adds. I laugh. "That's two promises dongus." I laugh. Naruto gives me a toothy grin. We untangle our pinkies, still smiling at each other. I hear a squeal behind us. I turn around and Keiko was fangirling. "KYAAA~! Keiko's ship has sailed!!!!! Cieruto has sailed!!!!!!!!!!" Keiko shouts, literary jumping about the room. Naruto had a clueless face on, I don't blame him, I don't think ships are a thing in this dimension. If they were, he wouldn't have any clue on what it is. I blush a little and scoop Keiko up. "Hey!! Keiko is being a bad girl!! It's time for a punishment!! Five minutes of non-stop tickling!!! Naruto, help me!!" I shout as I shove Keiko on the bed and start tickling her with Naruto assisting me.

Flashback end~

"Yeah... I remember. I know it's you now Ciel. I'm sorry for suspecting you." Naruto apologizes. "It's fine, but we need to focus on Weasel over here." I say as I look at the crows scattering about. "Dammit... even though we weren't looking at his eyes!!!" Naruto curses. The crows all fly into one spot, creating a Weasel. "How did you put us in genjutsu!?!" Naruto yells at Weasel. "It's not just these eyes that I can cast genjutsu." Weasel says. He lifts up his hand to point at us. "If I just have on finger, that is enough." He says. Naruto glares at Weasel hashly. "Don't worry... I won't use mangekyou sharingan on you guys. Or, it would be more correct to say I can't use it at the moment." Weasel says as he shifts to make a hand seal. "Alright... Now, just drift off to sleep." Weasel says. I close my eyes, concentrating on my chakra so I can break through the genjutsu. I slap my hands together and try to disrupt my flow of my chakra. Naruto does the same as well. "HAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" we both yell. Weasel looks surprised on how much we have grown. "But still weak." Weasel says as he makes a hand sign. All the crows charge at us. Mid way, they turn to shurikens. Me and Naruto didn't have time to dodge and we all got hit. We looked like porcupines. Blood trickled out of my mouth. I am in so much pain right now. Pinky, where the hell are you? Get us out of this genjutsu!!!! Naruto's skin on right side of his face peels off. It reveals Duckbutt in his curse mark level 4. Naruto, or rather Duckbutt, starts choking Naruto. "Since I missed killing you then..." Duckbutt trails off. I feel my stomach moving. I look down and Pinky was poking out of my shirt, same thing happening to Naruto. "...Why didn't you stop Sasuke-kun? You saw him after me... You had the chance to stop him... and yet you couldn't bring him back with the others... To think I had trusted you and Naruto..." Pinky says. Kakashi emerges from my shoulder as well as Naruto. "You guys couldn't protect your comrades, could you? Even though I had faith in you guys, you let me down." Kakashi says. I start crying. "Go away.... You're not real....." I say, crying. Kakashi turns to me and whispers in my ears. "Even though you knew everything, you didn't do anything." That did it. I start bawling my eyes out as I fall to my hands and knees. "Sorry... I'm so sorry.... so sorry... sorry... I'm so sorry...." and I keep repeating. My puddle of tears turn into Keiko's head. "Daddy didn't bring Duckbutt back. Daddy also promised Keiko. Daddy let Keiko down. Keiko will never forgive Daddy. Die." Keiko says. I cry harder and close my eyes, trying to get away from this nightmare. I didn't even realize, but we were sent back to reality. I was still crying and I look around. Chiyo was at my side while Pinky was at Naruto's side. "Ciel!!" Keiko shouts as she jumps into my arms. "Naruto, Ciel, are you okay!?" Kakashi shouts. I look up and Kakashi was fighting Weasel. "I....." Me and Naruto say at the same time. "It was genjutsu... You guys are alright now." Pinky tells us. "Right, it's time for the last battle. Put your all into it, Naruto! Ciel!!" Kakashi says.
