Kelli's POV
____________

The storm passed and the snow melted over night, but I didn't feel safe. Rachel and I ran home after the incident. "This time, control yourself a little more." She said. "Well, I'm sorry." I said. "I'm just not having a good time here and it's giving me more stress than ever and I can't take it anymore. I'm gonna transfer to your MHS for freshman year." "Do you know what you're getting yourself into?" She asked. "It's totally different." "Well, there will be less of a risk of my secret being revealed." I said. "Good night, kid." I walked into my house and walked quietly to my bedroom on the main floor, set out crawled into bed and fell asleep.

...time skip...

It was the last inning. I was catching. "Okay, just you and me Ally." I said. "You got this." I gave her the signs and she nodded. She threw a fastball on three outside corner. The batter swung and missed. "Strike three." The umpire said. "Line it up girls." I tossed my catchers mask to the side as we lined up at home plate.

After, we all packed up our gear and walked out of the dugout. A lot of people were complimenting me on how I did today. I just nodded and said thanks. My father then took Ally and me aside. "If you want Kelli to catch for you more often, then be sure to tell Coach Wally that." He said. We both nodded.

I then took my bag and met up with my parents. "Who are you riding home with?" My father asked. "I'm going home with mom." I said. "Alright, because I have to go to physical therapy for my knee." He said. "See you guys later." I walked outside with my mother.

I was riding home with my mother. "Hey, mom?" I asked after a while. "Yea?" She asked. "I don't think I'm happy at Sacred Heart High School." I said. "After this school year, may I transfer to Middleboro High School?" She looked at me like I was crazy. "Why don't you want to stay at Sacred Heart?" She asked. "I thought you liked it there."

"No." I said. "I frikkin hate it. Can't you see that I'm miserable every single second of every day?" "I never knew that." My mother said. "I'm sorry. You can take the weekend to wind down and finish your homework." "I guess so." I said. "The only thing I'm looking forward to this year is varsity saints softball."

"Well, that's a good thing to look forward to." She said. "That's the only thing I look forward to." I said. "Besides, I can't take the girls there. I feel like no one wants to even talk to me." Well, that wasn't the reason. I didn't want Annabelle to ruin my freshman year there. I know she would want to humiliate me some how. My mother spoke up. "Kelli." she said. "I can't see why you don't like the girls there. You have Mary, Jason, and Allie." "Well, Mary is transferring to another school, Jason is soon to leave the school and go back to his public school, and Allie is just not letting me talk." "I thought you liked her." she said. "I thought you two were friends?"

"No frikkin way." I said. "I never liked her to begin with. She never let me finish my sentences, she is possessive, and she is exclusive." "Then why are you guys sitting together at lunch?" she asked. "Because she just includes herself and then does God knows what." I said. "I don't even care anymore. Can we please change the subject?" She seemed alarmed. I was really annoyed, However. Thank God it wasn't a full moon, and thank God I am not fifteen yet. My life would be taking a turn at that age if I can't control my ability.

"Okay." My mother said after a while. "Are you excited to try out for the Varsity Saints?" I nodded. "Most definitely." I said. "I hope Coach B has me catch for a game or two." My mother laughed. "You know there will be catchers on the team who will most likely better than you." she said. "That's why you have to be good at more than one position." "That is what Lady Sting is for." I said. "And I know. I just want to be a backup." "Well, tryouts are in two weeks." she said. "When do you sign up?"

"I was told that signups start this week." I said. "Probably this Monday." I looked out the window. We were getting off the highway and onto my street. I turned on the radio, hoping to find a good song. Nothing good. It was all the so-called "popular" songs of the year. It is nothing I would listen to. So I turned off the radio and looked out the window again. We were finally pulling into my driveway. I let out a huge sigh as I just sank into the seat; waiting for my mother to park the car.

Finally, the car stopped and my mother put it into park. I grabbed my water bottle and got out of the car. I then brought my gear bag in the house and rolled it into my room. Soon, I got out my iPad and just jumped onto my bed and listened to my music on my Pandora Radio app. I just had something on my iPad to do for homework. I had to read a section in the online textbook for World Cultures. It was on China and their dynasties. I read it over and did the vocabulary in my notebook. At least Mr. Rose wouldn't get mad at me.

The last thing I had to do was Algebra. I swear, I'm failing that class. Mr. Stella doesn't make any sense. He just says, 'This is what you are learning. Do this thing I did not teach you for homework. And we have a test on Wednesday.' Literally, that is all he says to us. He doesn't give us a normal lesson at all. I even tried to get help. Nothing helped. However, I sort of knew how to do this.

I finally got my homework out of the way. Now, I didn't know what to do with myself. All my homework was done and I had nothing else to do. I had a rough night last night. I don't know what happened back there because Collin was acting suspicious. He said he knew Annabelle. Is that why she will transfer here for freshman year? Well, I wont be there because I know that I will transfer to Middleboro High School next year.
