Kurt had no idea what to do with himself.

It was 7 in the morning, and he was already bored. He didn't realize how much time he'd actually spend at school and the internship until they were gone.

Kurt had tried everything. He tried going back to sleep, but that was a bust because his mind was always awake. He tried reading a book, but all he had on his shelf were Nicholas Sparks books, and love wasn't something he wanted to think about. And yes, he'd attempted to listen to music, but every song in his phone was one that he had done with Blaine. Or one that Blaine had sung to him. Or one that he'd sung to Blaine.

"Ugh," Kurt thought to himself, "Everything I do leads to Blaine. I can't escape him."

And talking about Blaine, he was only in the room over. Kurt had already decided that he wouldn't speak to him unless spoken to. After last night, Kurt was sure that he wouldn't ever talk again.

The night before started off okay. The boundaries were established, finally, and then as always, Kurt had to go and ruin it. He always ruins it. Why can't he stop ruining things?

And of course Kurt had another nightmare, and like a child, he ran into Blaine's arms. He was a baby. It was only a little nightmare, and that was all it took for him to let himself go. He knew that he was hurting Blaine day after day, but he continued to be the selfish, inconsiderate, nothing of a person that he'd always been just because he couldn't let him go. Weak. "Just let him go," Kurt tried to convince himself. "You'll be doing him a favor if you just stay out of his life."

That's when Kurt did something that he never thought he would have to do. He pulled away from the hug. I mean, actually pulled away. Kurt had always been one to cuddle, and to snuggle up to his boyfriend. He'd never ever let go before Blaine had. But everything was different then.

Kurt put his hand to Blaine's chest and pushed slightly, making the other man unwrap his arms from his back and stumble backwards not out of force, but shock.

"I think..." Kurt took a deep breath in, "I think I should go back to Lima."

I know it's a really short chapter, but I'm just setting it up for the next one. Hopefully I'll update soon. Don't forget to comment and vote!
