I shifted uncomfortably in the adult sized twin bed over and over till I got aggravated. I got up and walked to the day room, my hair messy and I yawned. Dialing I knew there was a small chance she was awake since I had left so late in the middle of the night to put out a fully involved 3 story building fire.
'Hello?'
"Hey." I say half smiling, "Sorry I left, work called."
'It's okay..'
I could hear the tone of doubt in her voice and it killed me. "Really?" I say, "It doesn't sound like it is."
'Of course I sound cranky, you left for work soo late!'
"I had no choice!!" I hissed, "We have to put food on the table!!!"
I slammed the phone down on the reciever and then looked at my hand, it was trembling violently. I went to the aparatus bay getting ontop of the ladder engine and had my head in my hands.
I should not have yelled. Why did I hang up so violently? What is going on with me? Why am acting like this??? What has gotten into me? I shouldn't be acting like this. This isn't me..Oh God no..
My cell phone in my pants pocket vibrated twice and then I pulled it out. It was a text from my dad. Suddenly, I found myself throwing it across the floor and that was the end of it.
Somethings wrong..I just know it..I have never gotten this angry over anything before.
Eventually I climbed down and went back to bed.
