It was her first time in Montreal so I felt like I was her tour guide. Maryssa has been one of my best friends since middle school. We’re like sisters. She’s 17, about to turn 18 just like me. Her complete name is Maryssa Gosling but everybody call her Mary. We were walking on the main street, the Ste-Catherine looking for the Urban Outfitters. Arriving at the intersection, a while after we left the hostel, Mary saw a shop she was dying to shop in: Forever 21. So we abandoned the idea of going to the Urban Outfitters for now and we entered in the Forever 21. After half an hour on the first floor, we decided to go on the second one to look for some summer clothes. I just found the most beautiful shirt I’ve ever seen on earth when I heard girls scream. I managed to say to Maryssa that it was probably some girls falling while I was laughing at the situation. About 5 minutes after, when Maryssa and I were looking at the same dress, we heard a woman beside me talking about the craziness of the Directioners. I couldn’t believe my eyes! We went straight to the windows and saw a thousand girls running in the street straight in front of the shop. We looked a bit in front of the crowd and we could see two guys running. One was dark skinned with long black hair on top and the other had a grey cap and a white shirt: it was Zain and Liam from One Direction. Maryssa and I were huge fans of One Direction. We decided to get out of the shop and follow the car a bit. Since it was a car and we were walking, we couldn’t follow well… So we lost the car in a matter of time. By the night, we went walking a bit and we saw the shop Urban Outfitters. When we decided to go in, a bunch of girls passed by us and went upstairs running. Didn’t know what to do, we started following them upstairs to know what was happening. While going upstairs, I turned my head to the right and saw a purpled hair guy surrounded by a bunch of girls. I thought it might be a celebrity but I didn’t recognize him. Upstairs, it wasn’t hard to find the crowd. The girls were all around two cute boys. Didn’t know who they were, I made my way straight to the first one I saw and decided to talk to him:
- Hey! I said to the blonde haired one.
- Hello! He replied with a smile
- So, you’re a singer? Or in a band?
- We’re in a band, 5 seconds of summer.
- Mmm I’m sorry but I don’t know that band.
- It’s okay ahah we’re not that known as a band, he said laughing
- Well, where are you guys from?
- We’re from Sydney, in Australia!
- Wow! That’s far! Why are you here?
- We’re on a tour and we have a show tomorrow night.
- Oh really? Where are you guys playing? I know there are a couple of places here.
- Um the bell center, actually.
- Wait. One Direction is at the Bell center tomorrow night…
- Yeah, we’re the opening act, he said, smiling.
- No way! I guess we’ll see you tomorrow then, I said winking to him.
- Oh you are going to that show?
- Of course, I said with a huge smile on my face.
- Where are your seats?
- We’re section 101, row J, if I remember.
- I’ll try to look for you during the show, he said shyly.
- Ahah, alright! See you tomorrow, I said, leaving him.
- Wait, what’s your name? He said, pulling my arm.
- Uh, Callie, yours?
- I’m Luke Hemmings. Do you have a twitter where I can talk to you?
- Yeah, of course! It’s @Callie_xx. But I’m not often on it.
- That’s okay! I’ll send you the link to my Facebook, he said winking at me.
I blushed, smiled and turned away. He pulled me back again and hugged me. He whispered in my right hear: «How about my goodbye hug? ». That’s when I died in the inside! He had totally the look I was looking for. He wore skinny jeans and an old band t-shirt. He looked a bit like a hipster and I liked that. Plus, he was really sweet and he was in a band!
