Struggling

The festive time was nearly over but I had a good time Zoe and I really got to know each other whilst shopping and it was if we'd been friends for a long while.
It was the day Joe came home and we had a party to go to.

Waiting for his arrival I got more excited as each minute passed. Joe finally burst through the door, running, I jump onto him giving the biggest hug. Joe soon gave me a kiss putting me back on the floor.
"I've missed you" I say. Quite breathless.
"I gathered that" he laughs.

After a catch up we head out to the shops as Joe hadn't got anything to wear. Typical.

We looked around shops and Joe dragged me into Topshop which was both one of our favourite stores he picked some jeans and shirts out to try on.
"Come on" he grabs my hand.
"Joe I can't it's a boys changing room you nob" I laugh.
"But I need your opinion" he sulks.
"Right go upstairs to private and I sit outside and judge" I say, Joe reluctantly agrees.

He tried on a few outfits and he looked great in all of them however the last one was my favourite. It was black jeans with a white shirt a simple combo but looked amazing on him.

"Do you need anything??" Joe asked.

"Well I had my outfit planned but I'm beginning to feel a bit causal" I shrug.

"What were you going to wear?"

"Jeans but I think that I need to wear a dress"

"Everyone will be to be honest so if you feel more comfortable to be alike then we'll begin to look for one"

I agree and I began looking I would pick something that had sleeves and past the knee and Joe would put it back.
"You need more confidence Jane"

"Have you forgotten how nervous I was when I met you? What's something that's shy?"

"I know! But your stunning you have nothing to be shy of, ...Errmm I don't know a tortoise?"

"I'm the tortoise"

"At least let me pick to dresses for you to try on." He says raising his arms.

"Fine" I give in.

We look around to find dresses. Joe picked out a pretty long one with a fin materiel to make it flow however it had a v neck which made me uncomfortable. Secondly he picked a shorter dress, more fitting with a normal top and long sleeves. Trying them on I was shocked at my thoughts as I actually liked them resulting in me getting both, huge shock!

When it was time for the party we got ready I chose to go in the long sleeved dress as the cuffs were sequinned which I thought was perfect for New Years.

Firstly the party was great, seeing everyone together catching up with everyone. Deciding not to drink I felt a little lonely as everyone else did but it meant Joe could and I would make sure he doesn't get himself in a predicament, not the other way round.

Questions towards me consisted of how was L.A. Easy, the answer was phenomenal without mentioning the main reason why as that was pretty private. Other questions were where's your dress from followed up with the compliment of I love it, I'm glad I dressed up now.

I hadn't seen Joe for a while after dancing leaving me a bit tired, so I decided to take a break and look for Joe, I last saw him taking a few drinks with Marcus however now I didn't have a clue where he was.

Then Alfie grabbed me saying,
"You better hurry joes not in the best way." I panic, hoping he's alright I rush even in high heels to see the issue.
He was sat in corner, knees up to his chest, rocking back and forth, his cheeks glistening in the light from the water that laid open them.
"Has he been crying? How much has he had to drink" I ask Alfie and Louis.

"Well he was watching you dance saying how lucky he was and he kept drinking and we told him to calm it down but he kept going, and then soon he was worried as you kept going for breaks as if you were struggling and-"

Then a very drunken Joe spoke up,
"Jane don't leave me please I can't live without you I love please don't die don't" then it hit me.
My times nearly up Joe knew it before I did heart broken he's struggling.
What had I done?
