Honey

sounds of water running and washing machine starting

"Damn girl, this French toast good as hell." Keeis speaks with a full mouth

I giggle. "Well I learned a little something something from my mom."

He wipes his mouth. "You didn't have to clean up my spot though, baby."

I walk over to him, sitting in his lap. "I know, but I wanted to. It's the least I could do since you have been putting up with me for the last 3 days."

"And you fail to realize I've enjoyed each and every day." He says bringing my face closer to his. He kisses my lips and I feel something. I've had this void for so many years, and I can feel it being filled with his love and care. My dad leaving left me empty inside. Ty could never fill it. When I was with him, all I wanted to do was become numb to all of my problems. Then I met Mijo. He was special, but some days, I felt like I needed more. I loved him, but I always felt as though he just cared about me. Keeis, he's something special. We talk. Sometimes I'm quiet and just listen, and he does the same for me. He opens up to me, and he's done that for no one. He balances me. I know that no one will understand what we have, but I really don't care. I just want to be happy, but I'm tired of worrying about who will be mad or upset about my choices. If he wants me, then I'm ready.

"Keeis..." I say pulling away. "Do you think we're moving fast? I mean of course we've known each other for some time, but---"

He cuts me off. "It's not going to take me a year to realize I want someone. I thought that was Lauren at one point, but I've realized, she never made me want to know more. We talk. Hell you make me want to talk. Usually I would be at Unk's house chilling with the guys. Where have I been since our first kiss?"

"With me?" I say lowly

He lifts my chin. "Yes, with you. I finally feel comfortable with someone."

I dread the question, but I ask it. "So what do we do about Mijo?"

"What about him?" Keeis says with a new attitude. "Mijo got Cassie and India. Just like you said about Lauren, he can't just keep tabs on single ass people."

"I know Keeis, I just want to make sure we're doing the right thing. I don't care what they think about me, but I don't want you guys getting into it or anything." I say hugging him

He chuckles. "I will be fine, woman!"

2 phone text notification

I look over and see my phone lighting up. "I literally haven't talked to anyone." I giggle

"Go check with your people, baby, I got to finish my breakfast." He says pecking my lips

I hop up, excited we actually had the talk. I'm more confident with our decision now to finally be with each other. I just don't care anymore.

I go over and see I have 5 unread text messages...

RitaPita: Where the fuck are you?

I roll my eyes reading the text

Mijo: You said you wanted to hang out today, you still down?

I forgot I even agreed to hang with him...

Mom: Honey did you forget you had a child?

Mom: I have a job and a child as well, you need to come and take care of YOUR responsibility

Mom: 3 days Sonja? Did you think this was okay? I get it, your going through something hard, but you need to learn to be an adult! Things happen, but you can't just run away from your problems. I have been forced to take care of your child, when you know I have my own. MJ is your responsibility, not mine!
