The next day

Amber: I don't know baby; I have just been feeling weird all day. Like someone is watching me

Michael: Amber I told you I have been slacking around the office and I needed to get this work done before we leave. The most I can do is send my security right now baby. Do you want me to have one of the new guys sit outside of your house for a while?

Amber: I guess I have no choice

I can hear the worry in her voice...

Michael: Look baby, I do care about you being safe so make sure the doors are locked and the alarm is set. Idris will be there in no time, I just sent out the memo. As soon as I'm done with everything, I'll be over to check on you.

Amber: That makes me feel better

Michael: I promise I'll do everything to keep you safe, big head

She giggles...

Amber: You're the best baby. I really think I'm falling for you Michael...

Awkward silence

Michael: Um Amber what do you mean?

Amber: Well I think I'm...I think I've fallen in love with you...

Awkward silence

Michael: Baby this is Idris right here, I'll call you right back

I hang up as fast as I can. I don't need her putting her feeling in this no more than she already has. Why can't women just leave well enough alone? Just fuck me right when I ask, and keep your mouth shut!

"Shit!" I curse aloud

"You alright boss?" Jerry, my head security officer, asks walking into the room with Idris

I shake my head. "Just life man, you know how that can be. What are you doing today?"

"I have been to all the properties just keeping a watchful eye. Idris has checked in all the houses, and now we're just checking in." Jerry answers

I nod. "Good, good! You know my old property down the hill from the new house?" I ask looking to Idris. "I need you to work the lot tonight. Just some suspicious behavior been going on, and I need to keep an eye out."

"Tonight?" He replies looking from me to Jerry

I look from Jerry to Idris. "Yes, is there a problem?"

"Um no, it's just Jerry promised me tonight off. I had something planned." He says in a calm tone

I loosen my tie. "Well Danny was fired for sleeping on the job, and everyone else is booked up. I need you for this man. Is it family related?"

"Um, no, but it is important to me..." He says resting his hands in his pockets

"Some pussy right?" I laugh and so does Jerry

Jerry places his hand on my shoulder. "Come on man, we can worry about pussy anytime. This is good money right here."

"And to sweeten the pot I'll double the pay for your troubles. Take your woman somewhere nice, but tell her tonight I really need you." I say walking to my safe, and grabbing four individual bands

He takes a deep breath. "Um okay, when do I start?"

"Now." I answer simply counting out the $4k and handing it to him
