Rita

It was getting a little late, but I promised Michael I would come to Dave and Buster's to meet his friends. Lauren and I got dressed, and quickly made our way to the downtown location. With me already being late and downtown being so congested, I was already an hour late.

Phone rings

I look down and Michael is calling.

Rita: Baby, I'm so sorry, I'm almost there! I promise!

He chuckles

Michael: I thought you stood me up

Rita: No, we're on the way. Just me and Lauren though, everyone else was busy.

Michael: As long as I can see you, I'm good.

Rita: 5 minutes, that's all I need

I hang up with Michael, and we give the car to the valet

Stepping into Dave and Busters it's nearly impossible to walk around. I don't want to call Michael and say that I'm here, I'd rather surprise him.

Lauren grabs my arm. "I see him..." She says with a major smile. "And I see a gang of cuties surrounding him."

"Why am I so nervous?" I say locking fingers with her, walking in their direction

She smiles. "Because you're actually happy with him, Rita!" She stops me for a moment. "He's a good guy, and I can tell he actually cares about you. Don't drop a good guy because Chris flashes those pearly whites at you. You were attached to Chris because of all that you been through and 80% of that was bad. You seem upbeat and excited now-a-days; do not let him get away." She says grabbing both of my hands

I hug her tight. "Just the reassurance I needed." I love my best friend so much. I know she only wants what is best for me. "Lauren... I want that for you too..."

"One step at a time." She smiles linking arms with me. "Now let's go get your man."

We walk behind them, so that they do not spot us. I stand behind his tall frame, wrapping my arms around him. He turns his head to me, and quickly smiles, showing off those dimples. "Happy to see me?" I say with a cheeky smile, kissing his back

"Happy as hell." He says sitting his drink down, and picking me up. He hugs me tight. "And why you got on this short ass dress?" He places me back on my feet. "It better be for easier access later." He whispers before kissing my lips

I can't help but to blush. "Can you not be rude, introduce me to your friends?" I say walking around to them. "This beauty here is my best friend Lauren, and I'm Rita, Michael's new girlfriend." I smile looking over to him, and his dimples are as deep as ever.

He kisses Lauren's hand. "Nice seeing you again."

"Oh my God." She giggles. "I could get used to this.

We do introductions all around, and I'm introduced to two of his closest friends, Odell and Kevin. They are both quite handsome, and I quickly try and push Lauren onto one of them. She and Odell were chatting it up at the moment, but I think Kevin is cuter. I can't help for smiling at them.

"What you in a good mood for?" Michael comes back over to me with drinks in hand.

I take a sip. "Look at our friends."

"What about us?" He asks takin my drink, and sitting it on the table. "You said you were my girlfriend earlier. Either I'm missing something, or you just said that to make me look good in front of my friends. They think you're beautiful by the way."
