GD let out a frustrated groan. "I can't get it right!" He yelled, swiping the papers off his desk.
Seungri looked over at him. "Do you need some help?" He asked getting up.
"Can you help me?" GD looked over, helplessly.
Seungri chuckled. "I wasn't talking about me. I have a friend. I'm pretty sure she'll be able to help you."
GD sighed. "Sure. I just can't get this music right!" He glared at the music on his table.
~At 'The Help's' House~
"Where are we?" GD asked, getting out of the car and saw an apartment, not too shabby but not of the richest either.
"My friend's house." Seungri got out too. "She isn't...She's...She's just... different." Seungri finished. GD nodded. They took an elevator to about the fifth floor where they got off and walked down several halls before reaching a door. Seungri knocked but there was no answer. After four more attempts, GD groaned.
"Is she not here? Or is she just not going to open the door?" He asked. Seungri sighed. Then typed in the password on the door and walked in. "Wait, if you knew the password then why bother to knock?"
"Because if I didn't knock, she would get mad at me." He whispered back. "Shh. She's working." He pointed to a girl with long black hair, her head bent over a table. After a little while, she sat back, hummed a couple of bars of music and then nodded.
"Hey Seungri oppa. Do you need something?" She asked not even turning around. "And you brought a friend." She said, still not looking around and staring at that paper. Picking up her pencil, she began to write again. "So can I help you?" She said, still writing on her paper.
"Hey Addy. GD hyung here needed some help." Seungri said, putting the paper down beside her, pulling up a chair and sitting down. "He can't write down these bars of music." The girl nodded and turned around for the first time. She had long black hair, pink plump lips, a small cute nose and warm brown eyes. In short, she was perfect. GD was awed. He didn't expect her to be like this.
"Hi." He said walking over. "I'm G-Dragon." He said holding his hand out for a shake.
She nodded. "I know. Seungri's told me about you guys." She smiled a little. GD awkwardly drew his hand back.
"So does he know about..." She trailed off.
"Um no I didn't tell him." Seungri said, understanding what she said.
She looked up at him, and GD finally noticed her eyes weren't normal. They kept darting around, never staying on anything specific. "I'm blind." She said, with a little smile. "I'm sorry if you held your hand out for a handshake. I thought Seungri told you."
"How did you know that I-" GD was cut off.
"Everybody does." She answered. "Well that is everybody who doesn't know that I can't see." She added. "But my name is Adeline. But Seungri oppa here, calls me Addy." She said. "So I heard you needed music help?" She asked.
"Yeah. I've been working on a song. But I can't get a bar right." He said.
"Can I hear it? There's a piano over there if you need it." She pointed to the general direction of a corner where a piano was sitting. GD nodded and walked over. He played the music stopping near the end, where he got stuck. Adeline nodded. "Sheet please." She said holding out her hand. Seungri gave it to her, and her pencil flew quickly across the sheet, her head bent and her eyebrows furrowed in concentration. Ten minutes later, she sat up and held the paper out waiting for someone to grab it.
GD took it to the piano and played the last part that she wrote. Then he played the whole thing. "It's amazing!" He said happily. "How did you do that so fast? I couldn't get it even after like five days of thinking!" He almost tripped while dancing in happiness. Seungri laughed.
"Told you she could help." He said.
"You're amazing Adeline!" GD said as he picked her up and spun her around happily, making her laugh. Seungri smiled. It was hard to get a laugh out of her. She would smile, but seldom laugh. Even he couldn't make her laugh very often. GD put her down, smiling embarrassed. "Sorry. I was just really happy. I wanted to finish this song, but I didn't know how."
Adeline smiled, a beautiful full on smile. Seungri smiled too. "It's okay." She said softly. "I know how satisfying it feels to have your music written right." She nodded.
"Thanks so much." G-Dragon said again. "I'll come back soon. I need to get this is in now because it was due this morning." He frowned. "I'll come back soon."
"Yeah anytime." She smiled as Seungri and G-Dragon took their leave.
~Three Months Later~
"Oppa!" Addy squealed as G-Dragon tickled her more.
"I didn't hear you!" He sang happily as he continued to tickle her.
"Jiyong oppa!" She forfeited as G-Dragon stopped tickling her.
"See that wasn't so hard was it." He grinned, sitting down beside her. Addy just laughed shaking her head.
"Thanks for coming over."
"Anytime you want me too." G-Dragon promised.
"It's just that... It's been a long time since somebody's made me this happy. I mean, Seungri's always been here, but I guess, I don't know. I just, no offense, feel like I need somebody else." She sighed. "I don't know. It's gets a little boring, since Seungri can't be here all the time. And I can't do the things I want to do. I want to be able to see people when they greet me, know when they're sticking out their hands for a handshake, to look into their eyes and be able to know what they're thinking, to be able to drive, read, draw... all of these things I want to do. But I know that I'll never be able to do it." She sighed again. "I can't even look out a window." She said frustrated with herself. GD pulled her into a hug.
"I can't possibly know what you're feeling right now and I'm not going to say that it'll be okay." GD whispered. "But I know that you're so brave and strong. For facing everyday with a smile. No matter how little it is. And right now? It's okay to let it out. It's okay to be weak once in a while. Let it out. I'll be here." He said. Adeline wept, her tears soaking through his shirt. After about ten minutes, she pulled away, her eyes shining with tears.
"Thank you. Thank you so much." She whispered. Reaching up, she placed a hand on his cheek and kissed his cheek. He blushed a little.
"I'll always be here." He said, pressing his lips to her forehead.
