Nina watched from afar. Watched as her boyfriend kissed another girl. Cheated on her. But it made sense. She was just a nerd, a loser. But she loved him... and it hurt. She turned around and walked off from the horrid sight.

~Later In the Day~

"Jagiya? I'm homeee!" Jiyong sang happily as he walked in. Nina was in her bedroom, staring out the window. "Jagi?" Jiyong walked into the bedroom. She didn't respond. "What's wrong? Jagi? Look at me please? What's wrong? Nina?" He looks really nervous.

She finally looked at him, her face expressionless. "We should break up." She said. Jiyong stared at her.

"What? What did you say?" He asked, shocked.

"I am breaking up with you." She said as she walked out of the room.

"Why?" He asked frantically following her.

"Do you really need to ask?" She shot him a glare. She grabbed her purse and slipped on her shoes. Once outside, she slipped to the ground, her back against the wall, as she sobbed. "I'm such a loser." She whispered to herself as she pulled out her phone. "Taeyang oppa? I'm staying with you for a while. Don't ask. I'll be there in 10 minutes." She ended the call and called a cab.

~At Taeyang's Place~

"Hey oppa." Nina forced a smile.

"Hey. Don't smile like that. What's wrong?" Taeyang asked knowing immediately that something was off. "Where's Jiyong?" He asked.

"I don't know. Probably off with his girlfriend..." She sighed. "I'm so dumb." She whispered to herself. "And a loser. I couldn't even say to his face that I caught him cheating on me..." Taeyang froze.

"He did what?" He asked.

"Nothing..." She said as she walked off to the guest room. Taeyang followed her, and pinned her against the wall.

"Nina! Answer me! What did he do to you?" Taeyang asked roughly.

"Nothing! I'm just a loser and an idiot for thinking that I was enough for him..." She looked away as tears began to slip down her face. Taeyang's face softened and he pulled her into a hug.

"I'm sorry for yelling. It's just..." He paused and ruffled his hair.

"It's fine oppa." She smiled at him, but the smile was completely forced.

"Nina. Stop smiling. It's not real. I know." Taeyang told her as her smile disappeared. "Let it out." He whispered as he held her close. She began to cry, her tears soaking into his shirt.

"Why am I such a loser?" She asked Taeyang.

"You're not." Taeyang comforted her. Slowly, she fell asleep.

~The Next Morning~

Nina woke up alone in a soft bed, in an unfamiliar bedroom. She got out of bed and changed into short shorts and a tee and walked out. "Oppa? Jiyong?" She called as she walked out. Then everything that happened last night came rushing back. She covered her mouth and sobbed. "Oh gosh." She ran back into her room.

"Nina? Nina are you okay?" Taeyang ran into the room. She was sitting on the bed, curled up into a ball, sobbing her heart out.

"Stupid to believe he really loved me... to believe that all those promises he made were actually true..." She muttered to herself. "I'm fine oppa." She said as she looked up.

"No you're not. Get dressed. We're going out." He said as he got up and left.

~At the Park~

"Can't catch me oppa!" She teased him as she ran but she wasn't looking where she was going and ran into somebody. "Oof!"

"I'm sorry!" The man she ran into said frantically. "I- Nina?" He looked at her, pulling his sunglasses down his nose. Nina looked up and immediately got up and backed away.

"Jiyong..." She whispered. Taeyang came up behind her.

"I saw you fall over. Are you okay?" He asked, concerned. Nina didn't answer. Taeyang looked up to apologize to the person she had bumped into when he saw who it was. "Jiyong." He growled.

"I see you're already with somebody else? Got over me that fast?" Jiyong scoffed. Nina looked at him shocked, like he just slapped her.

"At least I wasn't with him while we were still together!" She shouted at him as she began to cry. Jiyong stared at her, amazed that she had actually talked back to him.

"C'mon Nina. Let's go back home okay?" Taeyang said as he pulled her away, shooting a glare at Jiyong.

~Five Months Later~

Nina was still living with Taeyang, and they had run into Jiyong several times but completely ignored him. "Nina?" Taeyang asked as he wandered through the house.

"In my room." She called out. He walked in and she was sitting on the bed, staring at her laptop.

"Hey. What are you doing?" He asked as he sat beside her.

"Nothing really..." She answered, not looking at him.

"Can you listen to me for a sec?" He asked as he shut her laptop. She looked over at him, and he could see that her eyes were red. "You were crying again?" He sighed. "Come here." He opened his arms and pulled her in for a hug. She began to sob.

"Why does it still hurt?" She sobbed. "Why can't I let go? Why am I such a loser?"

"You're not. Stop calling yourself that." He whispered. "If you let me, I could help you let go." He said even quieter.

"What did you say oppa?" She pulled away enough to look in his eyes.

"I love you Nina. And it hurts me to see you like this. Please let me help you. Let me help you let go." Taeyang said. Nina looked away. "I promise I won't hurt you."

"Really? Can you really promise me that?" She looked at him, fragile.

"I promise." Taeyang nodded.

"Then... I'll try. But I need time..." She whispered.

"I'll be willing to wait as long as you need." Taeyang whispered.

"Thank-you oppa. For everything." She said as she buried her face in his chest.

"I'll always be here. Forever." He promised.
