Together Forever (Kai EXO)

"Hey jagiya? I'm homeee." Kai said as he kissed her cheek. Miriam didn't respond, she sat there not moving staring at the t.v. "Jagiya?" He said again. She didn't move. "What's wrong?" He sighed.

She finally looked at him. "You want to know what's wrong?" She asked looking at him. He nodded innocently. "Really?" She scoffed at him. "You stood me up not once, not twice, but three times! How ridiculous is that?" Kai blinked.

"Babe. I said I had to work." Kai scratched his head.

"Yeah. After about three hours of waiting you told me. And plus you canceled the date, today. Do you even remember what day it is today?" She asked him, angry at his excuses.

"I'm sorry. I won't do it again." He apologized.

"There won't be a next time. I'm leaving." Miriam said firmly as she got up from the couch. "My stuff is already at Beth's house. I just wanted to tell you. We're done." She said as she walked out to put on her shoes. Kai stood there, watching her. He was completely dumbfounded. The girl of his dreams, his life, just dumped him without feeling and went to her best friend's place to live.

"Wait!" He said as he came to his senses. She turned around, and he could see she was holding back tears. "Please. One more chance. Just one... I won't blow it again. Please." Miriam smiled sadly as she walked out.

"I'm sorry." She whispered as she left. Kai was shocked. She just left, she walked out the door, with all of her stuff... She's really gone.

"She left me..." Kai said as he crumpled to the floor.

~2 Weeks Later~

Kai had been practicing hard since she left and he was taking a walk outside for the first time in a long time. Suddenly he froze. She was there... with another guy. They were laughing happily as she hit him playfully. "That could be me..." He muttered. If he had actually payed attention though, he would have been able to see that something was missing in her smile. Something that would only be there when he was there.

Miriam was walking along when she spotted a familiar face. "No way." She said as she pulled her cousin along. "C'mon." She pulled him along. She looked for another way to get home. As she was looking around, Kai walked up to her. "Kai-ssi." She bowed.

"Already with someone else?" He scoffed. "I knew it. You never loved me did you? Or did you just cheat on me?" Miriam looked up as if she'd been slapped.

"I can't believe you. Really? I always loved you. Enough to forgive you for those times that you stood me up. I broke up with you to let you practice without having to worry about me, without having to come home and listen to me. I saw your expressions when you came home for the past month. Tired, worried, exhausted, but you still tried to make me happy. I broke up with you to make you happier, to make sure you got the rest you needed to practice. And you ask me if I cheated on you?" She shook her head. "I can't believe you." She repeated and walked off. "C'mon cousin." She said as she put emphasis on the word cousin as she pulled the person beside her along with her.

"Cousin?" Kai stood there shocked again. "What have I done?" He asked himself. He ran after Miriam. "Wait! Miriam! Wait!" He caught a lot of attention and with that attention came fangirls. They cam from all directions, flocking around him. "No! Let me out! Wait Miriam!" He called helplessly in the sea of girls.

~1 Week Later~

"Miriam?" Beth called.

"Mhmmm?" She answered as she turned around. Instead of seeing Beth, she saw Kai. She rolled her eyes and turned back around to her laptop to do her essay.

"Miriam." Kai said. She didn't turn around. "Please. Look at me." He begged. Miriam's heart twisted. Slowly, she turned her chair around.

"What do you want?" She sighed.

"I just want to say sorry." Kai took a deep breath. "And I wanted to say that... if you think that if you're helping me, or either of us... you're not. I can see it in your eyes, you're not happy. Beth told me you cry yourself to sleep and I'm not doing any better. So please... please come back." He whispered. "Because I can't live without you. Because... I... love you." He looked up, beginning to get desperate.

Miriam looked at him shocked. Then she pulled him closer and wrapped her arms around him. "I'm sorry... I just... I don't know..." She cried.

"Shhh... it's okay." He whispered, stroking her hair softly.

"I'm sorry. I thought I was helping both of us. But I wasn't. But there's another reason why I left." Miriam pulled away enough to look into his eyes. Kai looked into her eyes, completely serious. "I'm leaving. For a year. I need to go to Canada to stay with my mom. She... she's dying." Miriam's voice cracked. Kai pulled her into another hug.

"Then I'll wait for a year. I don't care how long I have to wait. I just want to be able to be with you at the end. Please?" Kai pleaded. Miriam nodded, while crying. Kai lifted her head up, two fingers under her chin and kissed her. After they broke apart, Kai whispered, "Together forever okay?" Miriam nodded and pulled him in for another kiss. "I love you." Kai whispered.

"I love you too." She whispered back.
