"Oppa." Beth called to her boyfriend, Hoseok or J-Hope as he liked to be called. "Have you talked to your dad yet?"

J-Hope turned to his girlfriend, who was lying on the couch, watching t.v. "I told you already, I don't want to talk to him!" He said, frustrated.

Beth looked disappointedly at him. "One day, you're going to regret that you didn't make up with him..." She sighed and turned back to the t.v.

"I swear that's never going to happen." J-Hope muttered under his breath. This was one of the few things they disagreed on. His father and mother had divorced and he had always been mommy's boy. So, when his father reappeared, he hated him, because he blamed him for the break-up of their family. Beth, however, wanted J-Hope to give him a second chance. Why she was siding against him, he had no clue.

"Oppa. I have to go out for a little while okay? I'm going to the mall with Sarah." She kissed his cheek. "I'll be back in an hour or so." J-Hope nodded, concentrating on his work. She pulled on her shoes and got into the car, her hands shaking.

Instead of going to the mall, she drove off to the hospital. Parking the car, she walked into the check-up place, where she met her doctor, J-Hope's dad. This was the reason why she was asking J-Hope to forgive his dad. Because he was saving her life. She sighed as she walked to the check-up room with him.

~After the Check-Up~

"Beth..." J-Hope's father came back from checking the results, and looked completely solemn. "It's getting worse." Beth sighed, looking down at her hands. Two months ago, she had been diagnosed with brain cancer. It was curable, but Beth didn't want to do the surgery until she had told J-Hope. So, two months ago, she had tried to convince J-Hope to forgive her dad, so that the meeting would be easier for both of them. "You need to get the surgery soon or you'll die." He informed her.

"Okay..." She sighed, knowing that she would have to do surgery. "Thanks so much." She got ready to leave.

"Wait." Mr. Jung grabbed her arm. "How is the meeting with Hoseok coming along?"

"It's not going very well. I promise I'll keep trying though." Beth smiled at him.

"Thank-you." He bowed his head. "It was never my choice to break up the family like that. I had no choice."

"It's fine. I understand." Beth smiled lightly and left.

~At Home~

"Oppa? Oppa I'm home." Beth called as she shut the door.

J-Hope came out of the living room, and pecked her cheek. "Hey jagi. Did you get anything at the mall?" Beth shook her head.

"There isn't anything I need." She smiled as she hugged him close.

"It doesn't matter if you need it or not. It's whether or not you want it." J-Hope contradicted her.

She smiled even wider. It was times like this when she felt how much he cared for her. But now, it made it so much harder to tell him. She frowned and pulled away. "Oppa... I have something to tell you." She said twisting her hands.

"What is it jagi? You can tell me anything." He smiled warmly. She looked away.

"Let's go sit down first." She pulled him to the living room where they plopped down on the couch, J-Hope pulling her close. But she pulled away, making him frown.

"What's wrong jagi?" He asked, trying to smile. He had a really bad feeling about this.

"I... I..." She stuttered.
