Maxine burst into the room, panting. "Oh my gosh, you have no idea what the heck I just saw."
"What?" I asked, my eyes trained on the television.
"Stop watching Spongebob and listen to me!"
"I can watch Spongebob and listen to you at the same time!" I said.
Maxine sighed. "Fine. I just saw Emily flirting with this guy from the advanced skiing class -"
"WHAT?!" I shrieked. I jumped off the bed, right in front of Maxine. "Are you sure?"
Maxine nodded solemnly. "It was disgusting. It was revolting. It was downright sick."
My eyebrows were knitted together in anger. "What the hell..."
"Are you gonna tell Steve?" asked Maxine.
I groaned. "Will he believe us?"
Maxine sighed. "Probably not."
There was a silence for three seconds.
"But we can't just do nothing!" protested Maxine, jumping onto the bed.
I sighed. Then my eyes widened. "Wait, did you say, advanced skiing class?" I asked.
Maxine nodded. "Yeah. Why?"
"Steve is on the advanced skiing class too," I said.
There was a gleam in Maxine's eyes. "Well, this should be easy then..."

"Good progress, both of you," James said, smiling at us.
Maxine beamed at him. "Only because you're such a good ski instructor," she said sweetly.
I turned around and made a face, gagging.
"We'll get going already," I said, dragging Maxine away from him.
"Actually Felicia, could I have a word with you?" asked James, scratching the back of his neck.
My eyebrows went up in surprise. "Me?"
"Yeah," said James.
I looked at Maxine, who looked equally surprised as me.
"Uhh, sure," I said slowly, walking towards James. "I'll see you later, okay?" I told Maxine.
"Yeah, okay," said Maxine, one eyebrow raised before she turned around and started walking to the cafe.
I turned back to James. "So, is anything the matter?"
James scratched the back of his head. "I'm taking Maxine to the Winter Jubilee."
I nodded. "Yeah, she mentioned that."
"Yeah, but the thing is, I'm planning to..." he trailed off awkwardly.
My eyes widened. "Planning? Planning what?"
James rubbed his palms on his jeans. "Erm, I'm planning to... y'know, well... Ask her to be my..."
My eyes widened even more and a grin appeared on my face. "You're gonna propose to her?!"
"WHAT?" said James, his eyes bulging. "No!"
I laughed. "Then?"
"I'm gonna ask her to be my girlfriend that night," he sighed, scratching the back of his neck.
"But you haven't even given her your number."
James eyes widened. "Oh yeah!"
I laughed and pinched his cheeks. "You are just so cute!" I said, grinning.
