I sighed. It was as though they were everywhere around us.
Yes, that's right. Damien and Andrea.
Again.
Andrea was clad in a hot red bikini that was way too revealing for a water park, and as for Damien...
Well, he still looked hot. But my heart wasn't fluttering the way it did when I was around him in the past.
Steve and I ignored them and queued up for our turn, not wanting to talk to them. However, Andrea obviously was either too dense to get our hint or she merely wanted to annoy us deliberately.
"Hey!" she waved, speaking in that totally fake and squeaky and absolutely horrible Barbie-doll way. "Nice weather we're having today, isn't it?" she exclaimed over dramatically.
We ignored her.
She continued on, being the thick-skinned shameless bitch that she is. "Damien and I thought of going to the pool today, and what a coincidence! We met you guys! You wanna try out the High Speed Slide too? I'm afraid it might be too... exciting for you, Felicia," she said smugly.
It took me all of my self control not to scoff out loud. If she'd been on The Mad Rush, she'll be wetting her pants and screaming "Mama".
Instead, I gave her an equally fake smile. "Don't worry about it, Andrea. In fact, you should worry about your bikini falling off when you get on that slide. It's so skimpy I wonder why it hasn't been torn yet," I sneered.
Andrea's fake smile instantaneously changed to a horrified look. She looked around to see if anyone had heard that.
Apparently, many people did, cause they were sneaking glances at Andrea and giggling away.
Steve nudged me and smirked. "What? Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked as I raised an eyebrow.
"You know, I wouldn't mind if you had worn a bikini like hers," he grinned.
A faint blush dusted across my cheeks. "I'm sorry, I don't own such revealing clothing," I said.
"Aww, that's too bad. It's okay, I'll buy you some slutty clothing next time," he grinned.
I slapped his arm. "I'm not going to wear anything you buy," I said.
He crossed his arms, his famous smirk on his lips. "Are you sure? It's every girl's dream come true to have their boyfriend buy something for them," he said smugly.
He leaned closer, his lips nearly touching my cheek. "Especially when your boyfriend is someone like me," he whispered, his close proximity making my heart rate increase.
He drew back satisfied, grinning smugly. "Your birthday is coming up soon, isn't it?" he remarked casually.
Oh yeah, my birthday. I'd almost forgotten about it. "How do you know about my birthday? I never told you about it," I said, looking at him suspiciously.
Steve's cheeks turned the slightest shade of pink and he looked away uncomfortably. "Didn't you?" he asked.
Oh my gosh. Steve's blushing. Okay, it's official now. Steve's blushing is a million times cuter than anything else in the world.
"Are you blushing?" I asked. His cheeks turned a darker shade and I couldn't control my gigantic mouth anymore.
"Oh my gosh you really are blushing! That's so cute!" I shrieked, grinning.
"Shut up," he said, looking away. "It's our turn on the slide now. Buck up," he said.
I bit my lip to stop the goofy smile that forced its way onto my face. I sat at the top of the slide, looking down. Everyone seemed as small as ants down there. It seemed even scarier and exciting now that I was at this point. Steve got on the slide next to me, grinning at me.
